The Bulls sent Michael Jordan to speech school. I'd say Sanders can afford that.

They did exactly what I said they did, before his rookie season. It was part of the condition of drafting him. They knew what they had and wanted him to be polished. It worked - both for the Bulls and for MJ. He gained a lot more endorsements than he would have otherwise.

This was 40+ years ago - the climate has changed.

Today's coaches and players could certainly take it upon themselves to become more polished.

That would be nice.

Hmmm.  Or much evidence for it on a few quick googles. And I’d be interested to know what kind of person he actually talked to.

The idea the Bulls wouldn’t have taken him if he declined is very funny.
