I preferred the old daze when real fans showed up to watch the game

regardless of amenities or perks or other things to hold their attention

but, things change

Selfishly I would love for the Big 3 stadiums to remain the biggest three in the land. OSU is dropping theirs down 2,500 seats, below a couple of the SEC.

I would love to see the "Next 4" attendance all increase their stadium size by 5-10k.
(Big 3 are all over 100k, and pretty full) those next 4 keep their stadiums also pretty full it would be nice to see the option to have more fans able to come.

The bottom 7, I would like to see action taken to draw more fans into their current stadiums (upgrades to amenities, lower ticket prices, promotions, student experience etc.)

I would be shocked if any of the 'next 4' increases their stadium size.  I would expect most places to reduce their size by 5-10k.  They should,  You can't 'upgrade amenities' w/o making the place more comfortable.   Start by losing the  16-17 inch wide bench as a seat.  I'm not going to go blasting specific venues, but they could all stand to lose at least 5,000 in capacity.   Seating comfort is pretty crappy at these large stadiums.

UGA is spending something like $60 million on the west end zone but with no more seats.  Most of that is dressing rooms and whatnot.  They apparently think they need more ammo for recruiting.

IF UGA went on a big run here I suspect pressure to expand would increase and something would happen.

I'm with MH.

I think all of the stadiums that are as old as me have the same general issues, especially the narrow seats. The big one in Ann Arbor is the worst offender in that department, but I thought I saw something that they were going to address the problem.

When I went there, I always got one more ticket than needed.

I've come to really like seats with backs and armrests. I see there is a plan for that in Madison.

Let's face it. The fan base (hard core) is getting older. The kids don't care as much and they are not gonna shell out like we do/did. The stadia will get smaller as a result, so more stuff can be put in to attract the kiddies.

To an extent I agree with you, but I also think that it doesn't have to be limited to the "grumpy old man" issues (I'm one too, get off my lawn).  I think another factor is the viewing experience at home has improved by leaps and bounds compared to when we were younger.
For one thing the games are all on TV now.  We both remember when that was not the case so "watching" at home meant listening to the radio.  Even for the games that were on TV though, we are both old enough to remember when that meant watching a 20-22" screen with nothing resembling HDTV.  You don't have to be rich today to have a 36"+ HDTV.
That is a big difference from even 15-20 years ago.

I guess I'd put these as the top concerns of mine.

1. seat width
2. leg room
3. ease of concourse movement, inclusive of restroom, stadium entrance/exit
4. public address sound quality
5. video/graphical presentation.
6. my ability to send/receive msgs, if this is low level, than the out of town scoreboard better be good.
7. Device connectivity.  I truly only look at phone to observe interpretive text msgs from other fans/friends, or score updates.

Amenity I'd like to see executed in greater numbers (harder to pull off in football).  Larger open public spaces as found at baseball stadiums, either in OF,  or at select IF locations, or in immediate rear of last row of a deck are very attractive, afford engagement with fellow fans and friends, and heaven forbid a place to have a drink.     Baseball ballparks, led my Minor League's (all good stadium/ballpark trends begin at MiLB with the innovative ambition of interns and other personnel that can afford to try these ideas).  A few have done this, some not as well as others.  I'm not talking about 'club lounges' and the like which fairly ubiquitous.  I'm talking about the guy who is sitting in row 93 in the NE corner of (insert your stadium here).

the only way UNL would add seats if it they get back to 90's type winning.  This would cause demand to go way up.

It's very unlikely, the fear of losing the sellout streak will keep them from adding seats, possibly causing seats to be removed
