I don't think I discovered the album Pet Sounds until my late 20s.   I knew about the Beach Boys and various singles, but wow, what an album.

"God Only Knows" is one of my favorite songs in any genre by any band, ever.  That whole album is so good.

It could have been even better - Good Vibrations was supposed to be on the album, but it was recorded too late to make the cut.

Too very fine albums - though I favor the Stones.  Gimme Shelter is one of those timeless songs that'll be on movie soundtracks when my kids retire.

Peak work from each band.  I think Pet Sounds is a better album as a singular piece of work, but Let it Bleed has better individual songs.  Coin flip for me.
