Two meh seasons, the ended with fantastic Rose Bowls.

I'll go with 2005 just for my final season in a student section

The national title games alone determine this one pretty much in a landslide.

Yeah, but those Rose Bowls were both classics, and that's how we measure things around here.

It was nice to see the XII take over the Rose for a few years there.

Ha!

As you yourself stated, gave you two of the all-time  bestest Rose Bowls ever.

You're welcome.

There is zero doubt that they are two of the best ever. I didn't say the two best ever, but they're right up there at the top.  With Texas in it, that tired, sleepy old stadium finally delivered some excitement, instead of the standard B1G/PAC Doze Bowl stuff y'all gave us for decades.

Trying to think of the best ones in my lifetime.  I think the top 5 only includes 2 Big 10-Pac 10.  Those 2, plus Georgia-Oklahoma, OSU-ASU, and UM-Washington (38-31).  Just outside would be MSU-Stanford, UW-UCLA and UW-Oregon from last year

I was really just taking a shot at badger, I've always enjoyed the Rose Bowl, and he knows it. :)

But, you gotta admit, the 2005 and 2006 Rose Bowls are way up there among the all-time greats.

Yeah I was agreeing, that 3 of the top 5 in my memory were not Big 10-Pac 10 matchups.  Just '93 UM-UW and '97 OSU-ASU probably crack the top 5.

May favorite is still the 1994 Rose Bowl. Probably always will be.
