A thing that can happen is the weights used to balance a tire can fall off,  You might just need to get your tires balanced.
Missed this with all the other crap.

No, it was not that. The belts in both rears split.

I was hoping for alignment and balancing. Now I'm getting those, plus new tires. Yay!

I have had belts split in the past.  Now a days I usually change cars every 3 years and more often than not I haven't had to replace any tires. Though Tires and batteries don't tend to last out here.

Our GTI is five years old now, still on original battery.  I had to replace two tires due to road hazards, the other two are original and look fine.

I just drove our neighbors Lexus which is 8 years old.  He's  out of the country for a while.  Still original battery he tells me, and tires, which by now could be oxidized a bit.
