does this mean bye bye Clay Helton, hello Urban Meyer? wouldn't shock me. Urban would no doubt win another MNC if he goes to USC imo.

that worked great for them when they got Pete Carroll.

Doubt they get Urban. I'd love to see it. Only thing this really means is Clay Helton is finito. I'd be shocked if Helton kept the job at the end of the year, even if 'SC has a winning record.

The boosters are looking to end the Helton era already. The guy they want to offer the job to is already in LA, doing highlight shows right alongside Fox Sport’s Brady Quinn and Matt Lienart.

Only hang up with USC hiring Urban Meyer is both parties are plagued with scandal. Normally one or the other having baggage wouldn’t sandbag the job search, but both riddled with socially sensitive scandals will bring out rage from the social justice warrior types hoping to hijack the process.

Easy money in the studio as opposed to the sideline.Urbz got enough coin for the grand kids lives.He said a while back and most coaches agree - recruiting is the crux of the deal

Such bigger problems for USC than what will they do about Helton.   They are getting sued left and right, by former coaches,  scandals abound.

I'd be very surprised if he took a HC position again.Sam pointed out last year he had a cyst(in his head) removed in 2014.At least twice he had episodes of pain on the sidelines last year.So he would be ignoring that moving forward or perhaps embellishing that looking back(which I would hope is not the case

Chip Kelly isn't a very good coach, period.

He thrived at Oregon because he had Uncle Phil's money plus competent assistants.
