On topic.
Okay. I got one.

Yesterday I started noticing some heel pain. By this morning, it was pretty bad. It's nothing new... Just a flare-up of plantar fasciitis. Wearing shoes all day instead of being barefoot around the house, some ibuprofen, stretching, and a couple days of taking it easy should take care of it.

But it sucks basically limping around until it gets better.

And what caused it? I'm guessing it was as simple as doing a Peloton ride on Saturday and then playing golf on Sunday. It's not like I ran a marathon, played a contact sport, or did some epic hike. Nope. Just normal life shit. Which now causes random pains b/c I'm getting old.

Is that what it is?

Happens to me every few months -- I start feeling it coming on in my left heel, usually stepping down to the ground getting out of my truck.  Lasts a week or so, then poof.

I can sympathize.  Though I would give my life savings to trade my foot pain now for the 2+ years of plantar fasciitis I once dealt with, I remember how bad it sucks.  Simply getting out of bed in the morning or standing up after sitting for a while sucks the will out of you.

Having run the gamut on foot problems, I have some nuclear suggestions to try if it persists too long and doesn't get better.

I'm not a doctor and I can't diagnose it, but that's consistent with plantar fasciitis as I understand it.

If you've got anything, let me know. But for me I know I just need to be more diligent about actually doing stretching for the feet and calves.

I've been on this board for 20 years, this year.  I predict in another 20 years, cfb will have imploded, but we'll still be here, and the majority of our posts will be us complaining about our failing bodies.

And the Hotties thread...

Stretching, wearing good shoes, orthotics and electric stim is the way to go. No NSAID's required.

It worked great for me - and now it's been 20 years or so since I've had a flare of P.F.

Oofo flip flops at home. Orthofeet or Oofo shoes, and some sketchers even.

 Custom orthotics are your friend.

No Hey Dude.

No flip flops either.  Absolutely worst thing for your feet.

I hope to make it that long.

Getting scoped (upper and lower) on Thursday. Anemia, and the initial thought is I'm bleeding (I've had ulcers before, and there is other evidence that I am bleeding).

Tomorrow is going to be a shitty day, so to speak. I guess I'll lose weight.
