When you learn to swim in upper New England and then move to the desert, you can damn near swim year round.

The water there is like 58 degrees around Memorial day.

I am tired of the cold and rain at the ocean in Maine.  It has convinced me not to buy a place here.
Otherwise it's the only stain....
to go against the grain....
it needs to just pick a lane.....
it's not worth the pain....
the frustration is too much to feign......

We have the solar cover on ours, got in for the first time this weekend.  84 at the top does not translate to the same at the bottom.  Had been cold last week, needs a week of sun and to get stirred around.

Have to leave it off later in the summer or it gets up to the mid 90's, and that's too friggin hot.

Pool was 80 over the weekend.  We got about an inch of rain last night and it's back down to 76 this morning.  But it'll climb pretty quick if the clouds burn off.

Man, ya'll get a lot of rain.

We can only dream of that much rain here in the flatlands of Central Texas.  We've had about 2" over the same period, including last night, and we're delighted to get it.

We average around 45-55 inches of rain a year here.

I asked the Alexa that question for my location.  24"/yr.  On the Eastern edge of John C. Fremont's recommendation to not settle West of the 100th Meridian.
