EDIT:  (oops, I didn't see at first that the actual post had more movies than the preview in Gigem's post)

21

But I didn't see them all in the 80's.

28.  All of them.  And I saw them all in the 80s.

I've also seen Beetlejuice as recently as 9 months ago because we watch it around every Halloween, and Die Hard 7 months ago because it's not only a Christmas movie, it's the greatest Christmas movie of all time.

I certainly did NOT see all 10 in the 80s - probably zero at the theater

I saw some of them on HBO or Cinemax, especially the R-rated ones that came out before 1988.

But in the theater, I saw these:

Back To The Future
Beetlejuice
Breakfast Club
Dead Poets Society
Die Hard
Dirty Dancing
E.T.
Ferris Bueller's
Goonies
Karate Kid
Poltergeist
Pretty in Pink
Princess Bride
Stand By Me
Top Gun
When Harry Met Sally

28. No idea when I saw them all, but mostly in the 80s and early 90s. I think I saw nine or ten in the theater, the rest on VHS. Theater for sure:
Back to the Future
Beetlejuice
ET
The Goonies
The Karate Kid
The Lost Boys
The Princess Bride
Top Gun
When Harry Met Sally

I may have seen Ferris and Die Hard in the theater.

i saw many of those in a theater.

speaking of 80s movies and theaters.    who remembers the two movies from the 80s which basically hastened the creation of the PG-13 rating by MPAA.

Parents were fuming for being 'tricked' by the trailer into taking their kids to one of these, and the other movie was like,  wait,  they did what to that guy.... in a PG movie?

No idea personally, but the Googlez thinks it knows the two movies you're talking about.

If it's correct, I certainly remember the movies.  Though I think I probably watched them a little later than release.  I'm not nearly as old as most of you Gen X old farts.

Haven't googled it. I think Goonies might have been one. Raiders of the Lost Arc?
