I see criticism of the refs but mistakes do happen.  They missed a face mask call earlier on the Cincy TD.

One person on FB has announced he won't recognize the outcome, which amused me.

I'm certainly not blaming the refs for the outcome

just seemed to call the last drive a bit differently than earlier

and of course I was rooting for the Bungles

it's football, refs gonna make calls

Yeah, the end of that last drive weren't bad or wrong calls... Just seemed they started calling things tighter than they had the rest of the game.

I feel like at least one of those was a make-up call for the blatant uncalled OPI-facemask that resulted in a Cincy touchdown.  I don't agree with the idea of make-up calls, but the refs are only human and all it took was one brief glance at the replay screens to understand that was a bad and potentially game-deciding missed call.

Agree.  And let’s remember- the Bengals still had a legit opportunity.

They moved the ball to midfield and got stopped on a 3rd and 1 and then a 4th and 1.   You have to tip your hat to the Rams defense.   They stepped up when the game was truly in the balance.
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

Very happy for Matt Stafford. Class act guy, hell of a leader, teammate and QB. He came up in the clutch for them like he did so many times for Detroit. Maybe he’ll finally get the respect he deserves around the league now. And now the question of what would Stafford be like on a real team is finally answered. He’d be a Super Bowl a champion.

Lions ownership can EAD. I won’t watch them until they sell the team. Hopefully Bezos buys them. There were rumors a couple years ago he was close to a deal for them.

As for the Bengals- that team will be back when they get Burrow an OL. Burrow is a hell of a young player- but he is legit going to die if the Bengals don’t draft and sign every OL under the sun to fix that craptastic shit-sandwich of an OL.

As for the half-time show- was pretty cool nod to Dr. Dre but I thought it kinda sucked. Mary J Blige looked and sounded terrible. She’s sure as hell packed on the pounds- not that she was ever thin- and she sounded like shit. Wayyyyy too much screaming and yelling and not enough actual singing. So over the top and dramatic it was ugly to watch. Eminem was just bad. Idk what happened to that guy- he used to be amazing- he is literally terrible now. Even doing his old songs he sounds like shit. This new sober politically charged lesbian with a beard looking Eminem with a weird voice and flow-  ew. Give me the old white trash druggy who would spit rapid word fire and say the most heinous offensive hilarious shit back please. 50 Cent was barely in it- would’ve liked to see more of him. By far the best part of the show was Kendrick Lamar who should’ve been given way more time. Like 50, he was like a bit part of the show.

Facebook is even more amusing when half of its users announce the "won't recognize" election outcomes they don't like.

The Rams really couldn't run the ball at all could they?  Not the usual recipe for a win.

Burrow is a fabulous QB, he had the best college year I've ever seen and I'm glad he's working out at the next level.

Bengals D stuffed the run. It was impressive to see.

Burrow isn’t just working out. He’s got superstar factor. He could be the face of the league for the next 10 years with Brady exiting stage left and Rodgers probably on his last year or two. Bengals have to get him a damn OL or he’s just not going to make it. I’ve never seen a team get to the Super Bowl with their QB taking such a beating. Burrow is a tough SOB but he’s going to get broken in half if he keeps getting hit like this.

Yup, he might be as exceptional in the NFL as he was in college, which would be incredible, worth seeing.

And I don't watch the NFL, I'd probably start, some.

I pretty much just watch the nfl playoffs and during the season if there’s a big time matchup like Brady vs Peyton or Brady vs Rodgers - definitely watch that. I gave up watching the Lions regularly so I just pretty much watched most Brady games during the regular season and then of course the playoffs. NFL still has by far the best post-season of any sport imo. Stakes are so high, winner takes all, loser goes home- makes for some crazy dramatic moments.

Like anything else with a relatively long and often meaningless regular season, I watch the NFL when it gets to the playoffs.

Disagree with that. Two of the calls were bad and wrong, which is doubly annoying after they let stuff go for most of the game. And the one they got right they literally didn't call on Ramsey earlier in the game, which kept the Bengals out of the end zone.

16, well now 17 games isn't that long compared to the other sports.

MLB, NHL, and NBA are nuts. 162 games in MLB and 82 in NBA and NHL. WTF? And then the playoffs are best of 7 series. Gtfo with that bullshit.
