Alright, now Lions management knows what they need to surround a QB with.  Let's go!

I liked most of it.  Blyge, Snoop.  But Lemar and Eminem sucked.
I know nothing about Kendrick, but he can sure spit it...

Eminem was so-so. Thought Mary could have stuck to her first song.

I did like how it was all kinda a tribute to Dre. He was responsible for so much of that genre.

I think it was perhaps the best halftime show ever
Eh.  It was a sheepish nod to a wonderful era.  I do know it was viewed as a total dud by the 10-16yr old contingency at the party i was at.

For me, Prince was the best halftime show ever, by a pretty hefty margin.

This one was fine, I was into NWA when it first came out so it was good to see Dr. Dre.  The others were all a little newer and got big after I'd mostly left rap and hip hop behind.

The individual sets were pretty good, but I wanted a lot more out of the team-up at the end.  I felt like it all sort of built up and then there was no payoff.

I know a lot of people feel that way. Prince might be the best example of an artist I completely appreciate, without actually liking.

I didn't know the Mary Blige stuff but I like how she used the keyboard part from Tears for Fears song "Head Over Heels" as the underlying melody for one of them.  I was super-proud of my 14 yo daughter who was pretty indifferent to the whole set, until she heard that and yelled out "Tears for Fears!" just before I could. :)

Any discussion of Super Bowl halftime shows begins with U2 and ends with Prince, with a large gap back to everyone else. Tonight's show was firmly in the next group back, though.

As for 'ol Charlie Kirk, the 90s called. They want their pearl clutching back.

Yeah, the 10-16 demo wouldn't appreciate it. That is the only reason Kendrick Lamar was there... Because all the others are "old people rap" at this point...

But that's SOP for a Super Bowl halftime show... Get the artists who my demo likes, and then sprinkle in artists relevant to the kids...

Refs have been consistent.  Letting them play.

Till LA's final drive....

I half watched the game, for the first time in ages, it was a decent game, I was happy to see Stafford win.  I thought if Cincy won I could claim a trifecta, sorta.

good game, entertaining

was rooting for Zac and the Bungles, but Stafford and Donald got their rings with a little help from the zebras
