Adrian Peterson
he's the only one of that list that's got a great case imo. RB position is just freaking stacked. probably moreso than any other position.

Obviously I share the frustration at leaving Brees off.

The problem for both of them, though, is the era they played in, and the limited number of rings they each won.

Brady was a lock. Not that I necessarily think he's a "better" QB in so many ways than Rodgers or Brees, but you're simply not going to argue against a QB that led the team to 7 Super Bowl wins in his career--especially with the ability to do it on two different rosters.

Manning is widely seen as one of the most cerebral QBs in the game, the sort of player who is going to beat you with his understanding of the game rather than his acumen throwing the ball--which he also had. If he'd stuck with the Colts and only won one ring, he might be battling with Rodgers and Brees for that spot, but after going to a new team and winning again there, he pretty much cemented himself on this list.

For both Rodgers and Brees, their achievements in another era might have gotten them onto the list, but I suspect the people who put this thing together didn't want it to be dominated by contemporary QBs, so they're left off.

Every Thanksgiving, as soon as the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade gets turned on, it feels more and more antiquated by the year. As do the Lions who play next, made all the worse this year by matching Detroit against lifeless Chicago. Why won’t the Bears go ahead a fire Nagy already? I’ve seen this sentiment penned by a number of Chicago’s beat writers – “In its more than 100-year history, the team has never fired a coach midseason” – as though some moral virtue is boldly upheld by waiting for Nagy to ungraciously finish the season. Maintaining a sense of decency doesn’t/shouldn’t count for crap in sports, speaking of antiquated.

Lions-Bears tied at 0.

I've never liked it, but the kids actually do.  They've leaned more into the musical acts, and away from just showing floats.  It's one of those things I don't mind putting on while I'm cooking, cleaning, prepping, in the morning.  Feels like Thanksgiving.

Kids like that stuff, good background.    I love my 12 year Olds reaction when she saw bears lions kickoff.   Oh,  the pro football.   (Fart sound)  shuts off tv.

don't disagree with you on his personality- he seems like a major league bitch and he's shrunk in a lot of big moments in the post-season. having said that- he is still to this day the best thrower of the football I have ever seen. Never thought I'd see someone better at throwing the football than Dan Marino- but this guy just is.

Bears get the last second W vs a winless team by a FG. But does that really do anything to save Nagy? I doubt it. I think Chicago should think long and hard about making a play for Ryan Day- think that'd have to be appealing to reunite their young 1st round QB with Day.

Lions might be the only team in NFL history to have two winless seasons. Impressive.
