OBJ has cleared waivers and is a free agent. For the first time in his career. He gets to choose which team (of any who want him) to join, and apparently can play for league vet minimum with the Browns picking up any difference, so he's cheap to other teams.

His contract was reduced to a single-year contract and he's apparently willing to take a short "prove it" deal this year, to play his way to a better FA contract in the offseason.

We may find out his landing spot within the next few hours, as I'm sure his agent has spent the entire last week talking to any team he actually wants to join [and probably a few plan B teams].

I thought he got a bad rap in Cleveland. Also, the video his dad released showing him open was set to Everybody Hurts, which I found really funny.

Bad rap? He wasn't or isn't a team player, watch Nick Chubb - that's what professionals do.The punk didn't like NYC,evidently ELI and his two rings were not good enough. The Diva got more press from one catch than anyone in the league.Just shut up and play, not a coincidence they rolled both last year and last sunday when he didn't figure in

Yeah, gonna have to disagree. He was a malcontent who did not want to be there, despite having his BFF Jarvis already there.

Kinda get the feeling the guy thought he was too good for Cleveland. He got intoxicated with his hype off that one catch and in being in the Big Apple. I’d look out for one of the LA teams.

Did he say anything? I don't remember making a single statement about anything while in Cleveland. He was the embodiment of shut up and play. From what I've heard the biggest problem is Mayfield sucks throwing the routes OBJ is best at, which is why it looked so wonky all the time.

He didn’t say anything publicly but multiple people have reported that since day one he acted like he didn’t want to be there.

He blamed Eli and was a malcontent in NY and the Giants said see ya later and traded him, and now he’s blaming Baker and forced his way out of Cleveland. Maybe he just isn’t as good as he thinks he is and not worth the headache?

If he’s really that guy- shouldn’t matter who his QB is. Randy Moss played long stretches in Minnesota with hot garbage at QB much worse than Eli or Baker- and he still was that dude. OBJ just ain’t as good as he thinks he is. Period. One of the most over-hyped players ever.

There were rumblings about what was said in the locker room/huddle not privy to the air waves. But OBJ was notorious for not running routes and free lancing on the field. The QB looks in a spot expecting a reciever after check offs and walla,no reciever.Kind of kills timing patterns or confidence to do as the play designs.Listened to this stuff quite a bit on 850/92.3 talk.Just disruptive enough that he thought the rules didn't pertain to him.

Isn't OBJ simply WR# 1,762 in NFL history to act like a drama queen?

Before it got wild with the Bears last night, Mike Tomlin is proving my preseason reports of the Steelers’ demise as greatly exaggerated. Pittsburgh, in controlling much of the game against the Bears displayed a well-coached formula of winning ugly with dependable defense and scoring points when you can while working around Big Ben's age inflicted limitations. Pittsburgh’s offensive line has developed much better than expected and Najee Harris is able to churn out the tougher third-n-short yards. Steelers 5-3 and keeping pace in the AFC playoff race.

Lots of bitter reaction on homer Bears radio re Justin Fields not drawing late hit penalties. Fields played great in the 4th Q. Nagy acts like a buffoon on the sideline – not sure how much longer the sad chap keeps his gig.

This is why any discussion of him taking the LSU or USC job is hilarious. You don't leave the NFL for college, even before the transfer portal, if staying in the NFL is an option. And if he wants to stay in the NFL, he can. He and the Steelers may reach an amicable breakup after this year, just because he's been there for so long and they are ready for a rebuild, but if he wants to coach next year, it sure is hell won't be in college, and any NFL team with an opening would be happy to have him

yeah- if Tomlin and the Steelers part amicably, every single NFL team with an opening will be beating down his door to hire him. I think he'd be a GREAT fit in Chicago with that young QB.

he's a weird guy.

And honestly- if Michigan didn't have all those connections to him- no way he goes back to college imo. His dad coached there for Bo, he grew up in Ann Arbor during his formative years and was a ball boy for Michigan as a teenager, he played there and was a star QB there under Bo, and the guy worships everything Bo Schembechler.

My guess is he thought he would go there- turn it around- win big and then go back to the NFL. The fact that he hasn't beaten Ohio State or won shit is probably the only reason he's still there going on Year 7. IF he had gone in- beat the snot out of Ohio State and won a couple B1G titles and a National Title in 4-5 years- my guess is he'd be back in the NFL right now.

The fact that he's pretty much fallen flat on his face and been a dud- is why he's still at Michigan, imo.
