Justin Fields taking a beating, 4 sacks, 1 INT, and 3 Fumbles while Chicago is down 35-3 at the half to Tampa Bay.

If I'm Bears owners, I am sitting Fields for the 2nd half and sitting him all year to make sure he doesn't get injured, firing Matt Nagy effective immediately, and looking for a coach that is all-in on developing Justin Fields in 2022 and beyond. Joe Brady?

I completely agree with you on this one. The worst thing that happened to him was getting drafted by the Bears.

The best thing that could’ve happened to him woyld have been to fall to number 15 were the patriots, and quarterback guru Bill Belichick would have drafted him.

The Bears can’t even give him one and a half seconds to throw a ball. And they don’t have a game plan designed for someone who’s trying to learn.

they said they were going to do what they did with Mahomes which was let him sit on the bench for a year and just play in spots and learn how to read the defenses, but instead they threw him to the sharks already.
He’s an incredibly tough kid and a ferocious film study guy so he’ll eventually be OK if he doesn’t get beaten down first.

during fall camp Dalton took all the first team reps. Bilichek on other hand pretty much gave Jones the first team reps almost from the very beginning.

If you go look at college stats and what the analyst knew-fields is actually more accurate than any other quarterback that was drafted and that’s including long and down field throws.  With the right coach and an offensive line he could be doing everything Kyler Murray is doing and then some.
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

It's reeeeeally pouring in SF.  Those were the most fun games to play in back in HS.

Yeah, I considered that, and even though it was up in SF, it didn't seem that it was very cold.

To put my HS experience in context, the coldest game I ever played in was in Daytona Beach, lol.  It was raining and 40s/50s.

The Bears won't amount to anything so long as the McCaskey family retains ownership of the team.

The crapfest that was the Saints getting past the Seahawks in rainy Seattle last night, not to include the numerous unsportsmanlike conduct penalties between Lattimore and Metcalf, would be what it’s like to watch the Bears play themselves. The quarterbacking was unwatchable. As bad as Geno Smith always is so was Jamie’s Winston.

While the Saints merely had a bad game the Seahawks are a rotten team, and for all the blame to go around for how hopeless the Seahawks’ roster is faring without Russell Wilson - underwhelming drafting, over reliance on signing aging veterans to twilight contracts, Carroll trading away high draft picks for short terms answers - some of this is on Wilson himself.

When you demand to be the League’s highest paid QB the rest of the roster doesn’t have enough to go around. And it really shows when your QB has to watch games from the bench.

RBs like it cold and rainy. They get the ball on just about every play, and no one wants to tackle them.

Yup.  The big switch has been how so much of the NFL's passing game is timing related. The best quarterbacks I think enjoy playing in the snow, because their timing routes still work, but the DBs can't adjust. Brady and Rodgers are nearly unbeatable in the snow
