It will be nice to get back into conference play, and stay that way for the rest of the year.

MSU travels to Madison for the first time since 2012.  So, that will be nice too. Hello, old friend. Where have you been?

The 2 newbies in the league have been to Madison twice since MSU last came. There's your answer.

That's crazy.  Granted that last game set football back about a century.

But considering how great both 2011 games were, it's a shame we've only played twice since.

Actually there were a lot of good games from 2004-2011.

Yep. It was turning into quite the rivalry there, and then the rug got pulled out from under them with the new additions.

King Barry prefers to play Rutgers and Maryland in the crossover, instead of OSU, Michigan and Michigan State. :d030:

All kidding aside, Wisconsin rolls in a game that once again sets college football back a hundred years.

Yeah, going back, 2005 was a massive upset.  2007 was a great game, with a dirty MSU hit, with both offenses trading punch for punch.  2008 was a buzzer beater FG win for MSU, after Bielema blew it.  2009 Wisconsin was dominating, then MSU staged a big comeback that came up just short.  2010 MSU went for 4th and goal up 3 to win it.  2011 was an MSU hail Mary to win, then UW won the rematch in Indy to go to Pasadena.  2012 was a crap game, but MSU won in OT.  Only game since, UW won in EL in 2016

there was a brief point in time when this was the best game in the B1G. Seemed like every match-up was a close, thrilling- keep you on the edge of your seat game. Damn shame it's been awhile since these two teams played.

If you don't like real grown man football, don't watch, the Pac 12 will be on TV at 11.  PM.

I think MSU got pretty beat up playing the Bucks. Badgers roll 38-3.

I don't think the Badgers are going to put up 38 on MSU. This is normally* a hard-fought slobberknocker of a game, and that's what I see coming in this one. It will be chilly and rain is possible.

I see more of a low-scoring game here. Something like 17-13, with UW gutting out the win and dropping in the rankings.

* such as normal is when the teams have not met on a regular basis.

DE Jacob Panasiuk and CB Josh Butler, who both left the OSU game and didn't return, are listed on the depth chart this week, as is CB Shakur Brown, who has missed the last 3 games.

Getting the #2 and #3 CBs back is big, even against Wisconsin, as RS freshman Kalon Gervin has looked in over his head.  Butler is our best tackling CB as well.

Blake Beuter is not listed on the depth chart, so he appears to be the only new injury.

So the good news is that it appears only 5 players are out, the bad news is that 4 of them are OL, 3 of whom are starters.  Wisconsin's D Line isn't any good is it?

Yes, the DLine has been very good this year - which is what they were missing last year.

The entire front 7 has been excellent. Secondary is the weak link, but they are improved over last season due to pass rush being far better.

Last season the defense had 19 sacks all season. This year they have 21 through 5 games.
