When a system is failing at a 3-times-of-7 clip, with frequent reports of past problems of a similar nature, this is a structural problem with the system. I'll readily admit to not knowing what the subgrade looks like below Michigan Stadium, but the University better start finding out.
Yer full of it.  Jawing and hooting at each other, as well as the Nitts PB&J projectiles, do not rise to Sparty's level of bad behavior. The tunnel is not the problem.

You knew this story wasn’t going away the rest of the week. The Valenti Show (Spartan fans) lays out where Michigan contributed to their share of the tension, starting with Harbaugh:

“Michigan has had three incidents in this stupid tunnel. They had security. There were state troopers there…this is the best part – Harbaugh gets up there and, I mean, clutching of the pearls, acting like it was the Kennedy assassination. You got Blake Corum up in the postgame talking about Mel Tucker saying all I saw was him running. You got fans putting there hands on Mel Tucker. And it all comes from your head coach.”

“…the rivalry was never like this before Jim got here. MSU has won ten of the last fifteen years and you haven’t seen a single incident [from MSU]. Because MSU is more focused on getting Pauly B [the Trophy]. We’re going to party. When you [Michigan] wins that’s not how it rolls. You had an incident in ‘18 when you trashed the locker room. MSU never released the footage. You had the Spartan walk with Devin Bush. You’ve had the revenge tour t-shirts and the parading of Pauly B and the damn-near clash in that year. Guys, it’s simple. There’s no respect in this rivalry. At all.”

“My overriding point is both sides are culpable at different levels. The rivalry is reaching a point where I’m telling you – you’ll laugh at me – but it’s getting dangerous and it goes to the next level. I’m telling you the next step is it bleeds over to the fan base.”

Valenti is a Spartan lunatic and really part of the problem.  The rivalry wasn't like this prior to Dantonio.  The thug culture started with Dantonio.  My favorite example is Gholston wrenching Denard Robinson's helmet after the tackle.

Thug culture, my god.  What about Lewan calling Gholston the N word?  There are plenty of terrible examples, and this rivalry is toxic.  I'd be fine with it going away.

And they made a whole documentary about the code words behind "thug culture" about the Fab Five, so please go off

Do you have anymore of those drugs? You realize if a law suit goes forward your sparkiling ivory towers in AA will be culpable, right?taking no corrective measures Take this drivel over to the home boards where they will buy it by the bush load.Exactly ELA Lewan's kicker friend sexually assaulting a coed and him threatening the victim which he denied then beats up 2 OSU fans that he also denied

Toxic for sure but I would hate to see it going away. I'd rather see Michigan kick Sparty's behind year in and year out.

I'm all for justice and I think they'll find Sparty more liable in any criminal or civil action.  It's just unfortunate justice takes so long to happen.

Not before they point out there is one common denominator and absolutely zero corrective measures were taken - factoring in 3 seperate instances over the last 7 home games, with different participants. And of course U of M will be subpoenaed for video from their cameras that haven't been forth coming

Besides Saturday night and the Nitts' food fight what was the other instance?  Just want to be sure we're talking about the same travesties.

Looking ahead to Sparty this weekend.....how quickly the tables turn.  Illinois can assume a commanding lead of the Big Ten West (for whatever good that does) while Michigan State can get buried in the cellar of the East with a loss.  Go back in time to this point a year ago and tell yourself that.

Go back one page FFS there are 4 and those are just the ones i picked

The incident Saturday night where at least 8 Michigan State players assaulted two Michigan players.  By far the worst thing to happen in that tunnel in 95 years.

The second incident going back in time being Dennis Franklin intentionally dragging ass going into their locker room at halftime keeping Michigan out of theirs.  The teams jawed at each other and the Nitts threw a couple PB&Js still in their wrappers.  Coach Harbaugh correctly called Franklin out on this BS.

The third and fourth incident links both go back to halftime of The Game last year.  Video of Michigan following the Buckeyes up the tunnel and yelling at them.  And I saw one Michigan player giving them the double bird.  I'll assume your 4th link was to something similar in 2013?  I think that was the year OSU player Marcus Hall was booted for targeting or something and gave the crowd the double finger going into the tunnel escorted by OSU staff?

The yelling at each other, impolite gestures, and airborne food are pretty minor stuff.  No one gets hurt.  That's not the case with what Michigan State's players pulled.  The tunnel did not cause it.  The lack of security did not cause it.

Thank you for this opportunity to pontificate.
