Have to clean up the turnovers and special teams. When you've given up 3 touchdowns through 2 games, and none by your defense, that's a bit off.
Not reading too much into shutting down their passing attack, their QB simply isn't good. But that team ran all over USC, and MSU gave them nothing.
I think the coverage lapses are there for better QBs to pick apart, but how many QBs like that will MSU face? Aside from McSorley and Lagow there isn't a QB on the schedule who looks capable of consistent passing accuracy. Speight and Thorson look to have regressed. They don't play Hornibrook or Lee. Hell, or Blough. Obviously Hill and Barrett are tough but not due to arm accuracy.
