well, cornsidering Jim has had 3 or more losses each season at Michigan, it might look like improvement if the tOSU game is close

I doubt he gets fired at 10-2 particularly if the OSU game is not something really ugly like 52-17.

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is backing her alma matter when it comes to Michigan State and Michigan playing this Saturday in East Lansing.

She declared Oct. 25 to Oct. 31 “Rivalry Week” ahead of Saturday’s matchup where there’s a ton at stake. The winner will get even closer to clinching a berth in not just the B1G Championship Game, but the College Football Playoff as well.

Despite her 2 kids going to Michigan, she wasn’t about to falter and support her rival school.

“Watching the Spartans and Wolverines battle for the Paul Bunyan trophy is one of our state’s greatest traditions. University of Michigan’s undefeated streak will come to an end Saturday in The Woodshed. I can’t wait to cheer on the Spartans! Tuck Comin’. Go green!”
Had no idea she was even a Michigan State grad, makes a lot of sense now, no wonder why she's such a ~unacceptable vulgar term for part of female anatomy~.

* 10-3.  You're forgetting the bowl loss to a middling SEC team like Arkansas or Auburn.

Maybe, they'd have a near 50-50 chance in a bowl, and already beat Auburn.

If they finish 11-1, they be in a NY6 for sure, maybe even at 10-2.

I like these.  In fact I've generally liked what they've done with the helmets and uniforms this year.  A ton of different combinations, but they've all been some combination of green and white, and all used some variation of one of our logos.

No neon, no black, no bronze.

If you are going to do the alternates, this I can get on board with

I think it would have been better if they'd made the logo gloss green everywhere within the white outline, on top of the matte green helmet. Would give it just a little more contrast and style.

Otherwise, that's a good looking helmet.

I usually hate alternative unis across the board, but those are pretty dope.

As for the actual game- man it's a toss-up at best to me. Leaning Michigan State just because I am not a believer in Cade or Michigan's passing game. And I think you'll need a passing game to go on the road and play a tough Michigan State in a tough environment. Just don't believe Cade can pull that off.

Michigan and their coach absolutely need this one more though. So if they are desperate enough and fight to the death hard enough- they just might pull it off.

If Michigan can win this one somehow, then to me it becomes a one game season basically- vs Penn State. Flat out they will not beat Ohio State- no one in this conference will imo. But if you pull this MSU road in off- it's basically a one game season- @ Penn State. Pull that road win off as well- and they are 11-0 going into Ohio State. Indiana and Maryland are pretty bad- so unless something truly shocking happens- they should win both those games.

11-1 even with a loss to Ohio State- Harbaugh's job is safe and the fan base can't be too mad, can they? I mean I would jump for freaking joy at an 11-1 season. I was seriously thinking this team would be 7-5, MAYBE 8-4 at the very best at the start of the season.

Worst reasonable case for UM - 9-3 with losses to those State U teams.  Best probably 11-1.  Probably best realistic case possible is a loss to PSU and a win over OSU, I realize that looks unlikely.

Are undefeated seasons now the expectation at "blue blood" schools?

Man, Bo Schembechler would have got run from Michigan much sooner than when he stepped away. Didn't even win a bowl game until season 12.
