This is what Tony Gerdman had to say in this week's Michigan Monday

https://buckeyescoop.com/michigan-monday-the-fun-and-games-are-over/

The Wolverine offense is limited by its passing game. Could JJ McCarthy make things better? Considering the Wolverines are only going to go so far without doing anything, maybe they can go further by doing something.

With McCarthy at the helm, defenses would have to respect both the QB run and the downfield passing game, neither of which currently concern most Michigan opponents.Jim Harbaugh has been getting McCarthy involved all season long. If he is simply waiting for McNamara to lose a game before making a change, then he will be handsomely rewarded with that anticipated loss. The better question is whether or not McCarthy would have won the game that Harbaugh is waiting for McNamara to lose.

McNamara’s average completion on Saturday traveled ONE YARD in the air past the line of scrimmage.
One yard.

you can be a GOD at Minnesoota, but you may not have the weapons around you to showcase your talent and go in the first ten picks of the first round

also, you won't have to work as hard to beat the competition in Minnesooota, you also might not get the same level of coaching
Easier to showcase your talent on the field at a good P5 school than on the bench at a helmet IMHO.

Again, it doesn't mean just look for *any* other P5 school, but look for one that has a solid coaching staff, a good OL, and an OC that runs a system that'll showcase your ability. I.e. not Wisconsin because you're not going to throw enough, not Purdue because you'll be running for your life every game.

But there have to be more than a dozen "good" P5 schools where you'll start for 3 years, be a superstar, and build your draft stock. Whereas we have multiple NFL QBs at this point who needed to transfer from their helmet to another school to get a chance to see the field.

I understand, but many teenagers don't
many high school stars are only focused on the NFL and possibly don't know the difference between the B1G and the SEC or Minnesota and Ohio St.

so, when picking a program, focus on number of former NFL players and former NFL draft picks

Good point... Ohio State needs to stockpile all the talent they can get if they're losing 49-20 to Purdue.
