I've heard that you need to soak bear in milk to get rid of the intense gamey character. That was from a Canadian, who knew from experience lol.

Yes, but they also haven't done much of anything.  I don't even think it's connecting into Phx, but 30-40 miles west of it on I-10....but it'll be better than what it is now.

You guys would love Wickenburg.....it has exactly 1 billboard and it always has some kind of radical conservative message on it.

Interstate 11, currently from Vegas to the Arizona State line is at some point planned for an ambitious extension all the way past Tucson to I-19 connecting Mexico, with a joint sharing of I-10 between Tucson and Phoenix.

Until then the Highway 60 to I-40 trip from the Nevada State line through Kingman and back onto Highway 60 through Wickenburg is fine, with many stretches of it already with duel lanes. Having lived in the Southwest for most of the past 15 years, I’ve driven the Las Vegas to Phoenix “Hangover Highway” route plenty of times, back all the way to when Wickenburg was more famous for which Hollywood celebrities were checking into its naturalistic rehab clinics.

The main stretch where an Interstate would noticeably better the 5 hour drive is on approaching the exurbs of Phoenix, between the 303 loop and the 101 loop. Those roughly 12 miles connecting Surprise, Sun City, and Peoria can chew up 45 tedious minutes of red lights, rail road crossings, school zones, and lost golf cart traffic. An interstate would cut that drive time to 10 minutes.

I remember this even from back when I drove it with my brother in January, 2003.  It seemed like the Exurbs and Suburbs of Phoenix started HOURS before we actually got to Sun Devil Stadium and it has to be even worse now.

When I map it, google tells me to take US93/US60 to the 303 loop then to take 303 South to I10 and drive into Phoenix on I10.  Assuming that 303 is limited access this would probably save a LOT of time.

Personally coming from the east valley, I usually take the 101 around and head up 17 and cut across 74 to 60 rather than go through the city to 60.  Though more often than not I fly to vegas rather than drive.

LAS VEGAS BOWL
Wisconsin Badgers (8-4) vs. Arizona State Sun Devils (8-4)
Thursday @ 10:30 - Las Vegas, NV - ESPN
After a rough start that put Wisconsin's bowl streak in jeopardy, a total turnaround, combined with some well placed losses among their division rivals put Bucky back in position to reach the conference championship game...again.  Their offensive issues reared their head again in the season finale against Minnesota, and as the Gophers got a rare win in the rivalry, it kept Wisconsin from a chance to play for the Rose Bowl.  Instead, Wisconsin will have to settle for a revenge game, in a trend among the second tier Big Ten bowls.  Minnesota has to return to the site of the biggest blown lead in bowl history; Purdue has to return to the site of their blood bath a couple years ago; and now Wisconsin has to face an opponent that they should have beaten, save some Pac 12 officials.  Everyone laughed at the Herm Edwards hire, but the early returns were solid.  More recently?  Meh.  There are the obvious NCAA issues, but the program has stagnated again.  They went 8-4, so it's not a fireable offense, but it also no longer feels like the program is building towards anything.  Their best two running backs leaving the team (one opting out, one transferring to Ohio State) does not build confidence either.  The story for both offenses was a reliance on the running game, after both had highly touted quarterbacks fail to take the next step.  Graham Mertz has been nothing but unfulfilled promise since his recruiting rankings; while Jayden Daniels flashed so much promise early in his career, but has failed to develop.  The difference is Wisconsin has leaned on a true freshman back in Braelon Allen, to resurrect their offense, to an extent, from September, who will play in the game; while Arizona State just leaned harder into Rachaad White, who has opted out to focus on the NFL Draft.  The Sun Devils need Daniels to be the guy they expected to have in 2021, rather than the guy they got.  Daniyel Ngata is the only Arizona State back with any amount of run this season who has played this year.  And that run was mostly early in the year.  Over Arizona State's last seven games he totaled just 8 carries.  Which still leaves him as the only available back with more than 20 rushing yards on the season.
WISCONSIN 30, ARIZONA STATE 17

Sorry to get this back on track

That's the thing, it's planned to go directly south from Wickenburg, staying 15-20 miles west of the 303.  It will not replace that stretch of US 60 you highlighted (Grand Ave).
