The four-year career of Carlos Polk, as the best Blackshirt was the guy anchoring the middle linebacker position. 


Polk, a bruiser with deceptive speed and a strong nose for the football. A four-year contributor, he was a two time All Big XII performer, and an anchor on one of the finest defenses in school history (1999). He was named first team All-America in his senior season.
