Gameday bitches!

It's my brother's birthday, he and his family are coming over for the game, and my i s c & a aggie wife is making hot wings (and Dr. Pepper wings for my son, that's his fave).

Screw you, offseason.  I'm ready for some football!
Dr Pepper wings? Got a recipe?

No more football this weekend. I'm at the Minnesota State Fair helping with this weekend's western horse show, which my family has been part of in one way or another since the late 1960s.

Man- I feel like if Iowa got an offense going- they would be a tough out for anyone.

Good to see you SM.  How is your health?

Hanging in there. It’s been a year I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy, but getting there. Brain surgery is no joke and I thought I’d be back to normal in a few months and there may be some permanent adjustments but I’m very lucky that some of things that could have happened did not so I count my blessings every day.

hope you and the fam are well as the rest of the fine folks here

Wow that should not have been a touchdown. Watching with my daughter and told her live it wasn’t a touchdown. Replay was clear as day. What’s the point of replay if you get it that wrong?

Didn't the Redskins and Eagles always wear home whites back in the day?

Quoting bf from the locked thread.

The answer, as Fearless pointed out, is-- not really.  They started doing it just to force the Cowboys into wearing their "unlucky" blues, more of a poke in the eye than anything else.  Over time, they started doing it more frequently but I don't think they do it every week.

I've always thought that at least in the South during the early season, it makes a lot of sense to wear white at home and force your opponent into the hotter dark jerseys.  Might be why LSU does it.

Cable folks still at odds w Disney so I'm relegated tons Fox and CBS only…Will probably watch some tcu cu rhen head out.

Same here. No Disney. Just now waking up and flipping on Colorado/TCU. Why waking so late? It’s only 6am here in Honolulu. Work has me on the Islands for a construction project this past week.

Last night went to Hawaii’s home opener Vs Stanford. A campus stadium, that’s like a high school stadium, rushed together after their Pro Bowl stadium was condemned. $38 got me a seat bordering the student section.

Hawaii is better than last year but Stanford was too much, winning 37-22. Despite their methodical win, Stanford doesn’t look ready to match Oregon or USC. Backfield is just too slow, plays taking way too long to develop.

And yes, there are Mai Tai mixes in the mini fridge.

CU's only holdover starter on defense picks off TCU pass in end zone.
