Are they charging admission to this game?

Iowa is the worst 9-2 P5 team ever, right?

I don't think they'd be 9-2 if they weren't playing in one of the worst (the worst??) P5 divisions.

there will be enough Hawks fans from the west side of the state coming into town to keep tickets prices above $0.
closer drive than Iowa City
and of course Husker fans are crazy
I'll be tailgating a block from the stadium, I'll ask around for scalper pricing.
I'm guessing $20 will get a Bob Uecker seat

There are some extremely bad "good record" teams in the early 80s, in terms of point differential.  But in context, this Iowa team is much worse.
Back then, you felt good about at 20-7 win, because both teams were running the ball 80% of the time and the defenses knew it.  Like zombies hurling themselves against an impenetrable door or something.

obviously, if you take away the PSU slaughter
the point differential is much better, but still not great

You can't have a good point differential averaging 20 points scored per game.
Even the best defenses ever allowed like 10 ppg.  So with such a low scoring ceiling, the variance isn't there.

This year, looking around at other teams, Miami has a +8 ppg differential.  They're 6-5.
A&M, with their fired HC, has a +15 ppg diff, with a 7-4 record.

Yeah, in the 2023 context, Iowa is a godawful 9-2 team.

I hear the over/under is down to 26

14-12 or more likely 16-10 or 17-9

I have a feeling Kirk Ferentz gets a good laugh every time one of the experts tries to tell him the key to winning games.

They've played exactly 1 team with an actual pulse and lost 31-0.
