Over 400,000 civilians died in Iraq and Afghanistan after 9/11.
But it was us, so it was okay.

We have a lot of people judging Israel here.  And none of you seem too eager to look in the mirror first.

Thank Hamas.  The moment they attacked, this was the certain outcome.
No question. I was just answering 320's question about why the ICC is after Netanyahu.

Hamas is not a country. It's a terrorist group funded by Iran.

So let the ICC go after the Ayatollahs. They are true evil.

What's happening at a lot of these campuses is purely disgusting. I can understand supporting the Palestinian people - most of whom are probably good people. Openly supporting Hamas? Not acceptable.

Deport these people to Palestine so they can support Hamas directly. GTFO of here.

Oh, and...

killing civilians is not ok with me
Certainly, not for US military.
I understand some collateral damage happens.
I understand that some forces try harder to limit the killing of civilians and more selective of targets.

I'll judge the disregard for civilian lives as evil.

Well that's what FAFSA old was, anyway.  Fafsa new not so much.  Good thing they stepped in to help and fix it.
So the government stopped helping as much. By the Regan standard, success!!

It'd be nice if folks would start taking serious and believing those who want to bring Death to Israel and wipe them off the map.  Yes, they really mean this.  One state, two state, peace and cease fire, all poppycock.  They want to eradicate an entire people.  There is no mystery or root cause to study, or conversation to have.
Who are the specific “those” to whom you are referring?

Not MH, but I'd say he is referring to Iran and their terrorist proxies.

The government tried to help more, and failed in spectacular fashion.

The obvious and expected outcome.

Typical:

"The system is inefficient and bloated... What should we do?"

"Well, here's another 175 pages of laws establishing a new bureaucracy that totally will simplify things!"

(Not necessarily FAFSA related--I haven't followed that deal.)

The removal of both Hamas AND Netanyahu/Likud is required for there to be any solution in that part of the world.

It takes two to tango. Both parties are responsible for deteriorating the situation to where the only way forward from October 7 was shameless, wonton killing. Israel's actions in Gaza have done more to ensure the survival of Hamas than it's leadership, or the mullahs in Tehran, could have possibly dreamed of.

As for looking in the mirror, the invasion of Iraq was a terrible idea then and has not improved one whit in the 22 years since then.

It took 100 years of sectarian violence in Northern Ireland, 2 leaders that said enough was enough, and another 20 years of skepticism, refusals to stand down, tension, and distrust for things to openly calm down. That may be what's ahead in the Middle East.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Ireland_peace_process

And there is a high likelihood that everyone's opinions are wrong. In the Middle East, there aren't two perspectives on things. There are 40.

Yeah I'm not sure who around here is supporting past US military actions in Iraq and Afghanistan?  That's a strawman argument on this board.

A couple of pages ago, someone was using motte-and-bailey BS to somehow equate that with Israel's operations in the Gaza Strip. Not sure who.

They never should've offered FAFSA to start. Problem solved. :96:
