I similarly wonder whether or not times have changed over the past 300-400 years?

Recent polling suggests that if Biden wins Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, he wins the election.  If Trump wins even one of those he wins.  The other 47 states are polling at >6% one way or the other.  Hell, the only three that are even single digits are Arizona, Georgia and Nevada, where Trump still has a ~7-8% lead.

I'm not overturn the Electoral College guy.  The founder established a republic for a reason, but I do think we need to figure out something when 47 states are essentially decided 7 months out, simply due to the number of people who are solid red or solid blue, candidates be damned
Trump tops Biden by 2 points in new Florida poll | The Hill

Polls at this point are, well too early, in my view, to conclude much of anything.  Even massive leads dissipate.  Joltin' Joe apparently has been closing gaps of late.

I call BS on that poll.

Governor DeSantis won by 20% in 2022. Florida is solidly red.

Joltin' Joe is campaigning (not from his basement!) while Joltin' Joe's DOJ and NY puppets are keeping his opponent in courts.

Folks nearly always call BS on a poll they don't like.

It's just a poll, the topic is about poll numbers.  The point is poll numbers can bounce all over the place.  So, the "three states" in play in the post might change completely by November.

(I don't get riled by ANY poll, no matter what it says.  Is it BS?  Maybe, maybe not, it doesn't matter to me, and certainly not in April.)

I draw no ire. I just know it's bunk. I know my new state, just like I knew my old one.

Polling in April of 2022 also said that Republicans would gain 40 or more seats in the House, and we all know how that turned out.

2022 turned out very bad for conservatives, obviously.

Abortion (which should not be a political issue).

Democrats could have codified it under Carter when they had a supermajority in the Senate.

Same goes with Obama from 2008-2010.

They had their chance. But they would have little else to run on now, would they?

A new office tower, probably the last thing needed around here.  Apartments I can see, OK fine, but office space?

Going to hear Rhapsody in Blue this evening, always a fun gig.

Heading to Orlando tomorrow for a week to stay with a couple we haven't seen in ages.  It's not my favorite place to visit, but it's OK, we'll probably relax by the pool a good bit.  And dine.  I have not yet found any good sounding dining places near where we're staying.

It’s a national poll conducted by a school in Florida. Not a poll about how Florida will vote.
