My 5 shooter can handle .357 and is "hammerless" and quite small.  I usually shoot +Ps at the range, if I'm at the range.  I've shot a few magnums loads and it isn't very nice.

This guy killed 6 - exactly what you could kill with most handguns.

Taking the time to change a magazine (assuming he/she had another one) would expose the shooter.

One thing to always pay attention to in a situation involving a shooting is how many have been shot. Keep count. Know when the shooter is vulnerable. Always know where the entries and exits are. Take nothing for granted.
CHICAGO (AP) — Eight people were shot including a young girl who was killed in what Chicago police believe was gang-related violence on the city’s South Side on Saturday night.

The 7-year-old girl was shot in the head and died, while a 1-year-old boy and a 7-year-old boy were each shot multiple times and listed in critical condition, Chicago Police Department Deputy Chief Don Jerome said in a news briefing at the scene on a block of 52nd Street near Damen Avenue.

Police responding to a gunfire alert around 9 p.m. applied tourniquets and chest seals to victims, who also included adults between the ages of 19 and 40, Jerome said.

The victims, who were standing outside at a family gathering at the time of the shooting, were transported to area hospitals by the Chicago Fire Department.

The investigation was still in the preliminary stages but witness accounts described two possible shooters on foot, Jerome said.

“This was not a random act of violence. It was likely gang-related,” Jerome said. “Regardless of the motivation for this incident, three innocent children were struck tonight and one of them tragically succumbed to her wounds. The offenders’ actions, make no mistake, are horrific and unnaceptable in our city.”

LINCOLN, Neb. — Make no mistake, Saturday night is one of those rare occasions when Dan Whitney, better known as Larry the Cable Guy, won't be pulling for the bull riders.

"I'm rooting for Koolie," Whitney said Friday from his Lancaster County home.

That's Mr. Koolie to everyone else. To Whitney, his bull is known simply as Koolie, as in "he's a cool dude."

"You sit around and you just think of cool names, like Mr. Koolie," Whitney said. "Mr. Koolie is just a cool name."

And Mr. Koolie is one bad bull. Consider that Whitney's bull has appeared in 37 Professional Bull Rider events and there have been just two qualified rides in 47 attempts — giving him a 95.7% buck-off rate — and he has a current streak of 26 straight buck-offs.

"That's an amazing stat," said Whitney, an avid sports fan. "It's like Ronald Acuna stealing 73 bases in a season. It's really good. It's the top of the top."

On Saturday night, Whitney will pay $10,000 to anyone who can successfully ride Mr. Koolie at the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour event at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

"I don't think there's a cowboy out there that's going to get 10 grand because I don't think there's anybody who can ride him," Whitney said.

Still, that uncertainty, like Whitney himself, is good for the pro bull-riding tour, its commissioner and CEO says.

"We’re honored he’s part of the PBR family,” Sean Gleason said about Whitney in a written statement.

Whitney says he's hopeful people attend Saturday's event because pro bull riding is a sport worth watching and there are plenty of good rodeo athletes in Nebraska.

"It's something you should see," he said. "There are some very accomplished bull riders, and it's nice to showcase their abilities and get their names out there."

Whitney has always had a love for rodeo since growing up on an 80-acre farm in Pawnee City. After making it big with his comedy act, he began sponsoring rodeo athletes. He then took it a step further by forming the Git-R-Done rodeo team.

"I'd go to the National Finals Rodeo and I'd have two or three people competing," he said. "It was a lot of fun."

I went back and redid my first book, found a ton of typos and errors, many of which CWS found and noted for me.

I think maybe I should finish a book and proof read it, and let it sit until I kind of forget about it, and then proof it again.

And I made $8.52 in royalties last month!  I think my kids bought my last book, I know one did.  Book 3 in that series is about to start I think.  i have some ideas.

  • Some analysts said that the attack was mostly performative. Michael Singh, a former senior director for Middle East affairs at the U.S. National Security Council, told The Wall Street Journal, that it was “a slow-moving, thoroughly telegraphed, and ultimately unsuccessful retaliation.”
  • Other experts called the attack more significant. Ahron Bregman, an expert at King’s College in London, called it an “historic event.” It brought Iran’s long shadow war against Israel into the open. The two rivals have no direct channels of communication, which can lead to dangerous military miscalculations.
  • One reason to believe Israel may respond: “Any normalization of direct strikes by Iran is intolerable to the Israeli public and leadership,” The Economist magazine wrote. Dana Stroul, the former top Middle East policy official at the Pentagon, said, “Given how significant this attack was, it is difficult to see how Israel cannot respond.”

Israel kicks this shits torm up by attacking Iran. Israel then acts horrified and shocked and vows revenge when Iran ultimately responds- ineffectively I might add. Believe nearly every drone or missile was shot down. Iran leadership was backed into a corner, they were always going to respond to Israeli aggression. It was inevitable. The question is how would they respond.

The fact that Iran's strikes seem to have for the most part been neutralized hopefully that will be that, and they can call it a day, tit for tat.

Have zero faith in Biden admin however to reign in the ultra-right religious nutjob extremist fascists running Israel however. He's had zero success since he took office, that's not about to start happening now.
