I heard some radio hosts saying that people who have seen an eclipse are more likely to initiate travel to see it again, rather than feeling ho-hum like once is enough. So it must be pretty spectacular.

I've seen one total eclipse, I even looked at it, briefly, with my own eyes.  It got very dark and a bit eerie.  We have about 85% here, my wife wants to see it, I have the glasses for it, I have a telescope attachment as well, but we're on the road.

I'm not all that excited about it, I can understand why ancient people would get into a froth over it.

Neighbors complain about people repeatedly having sex in parking lot of Atlanta adult business – WSB-TV Channel 2 - Atlanta (wsbtv.com)

This is about two miles north of me.  There is about half a mile of sketchy stuff slowly being crowded out by new apartment buildings and retail and restaurants.  This place is from the outside the classiest of the strip clubs, one of which advertises "Life Females".  The liquor store I frequent is just north of this mess past the freeway.  Further north it starts to be residential and apartments again, not sketchy, and then in 4 miles or so very upscale.

It's a weird area still, three resturants nearby we dine at every few weeks.  At times around here, you can drive one block and go from upscale to sketchy and then sketchier.

I'm surprised strip clubs have any business these days other than just a place for hookers to hook up.

I occasionally glance at coach comments about how things are going in practice (CFB).  I think they have some kind of standard lexicon they use, it's always basically "some things look good, very happy, a lot of things left to work on though".

The way too early rankings have been out of course, which, if a thing is WAY too early means it's pretty useless.

A thing I look for is a highly ranked team likely to be not good and vice versa, I don't much care who starts at #1.

Cincinnati had MAJOR cicada outbreaks, much more than here, maybe this year will be different.

Cicadas aren't too bad here.  Grasshoppers are, though, in the Fall.
