Until the 1920s, when there was a wave of anti-immigrant sentiment, 22 states and federal territories allowed noncitizens to vote in state elections. Now only a few jurisdictions in California, Illinois and Maryland — notably Chicago and San Francisco — allow some form of noncitizen voting. Some states, such as Ohio and Louisiana, in recent years have enacted constitutional bans on noncitizen voting.

A majority of states — 36 — requests or requires voters to show some sort of identification when they vote, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. Increasingly, states also are seeking ways to require proof of citizenship to vote or are considering ways to update voter lists to eliminate any noncitizens.

I'm personally fine with legal noncitizens voting in local elections.  They pay taxes, their kids go to school, etc.

there are several red states where undocumented immigrants can vote in local elections
I only see this in certain voting districts, not states as a whole.  I may have missed one.

just to be clear Im not against legal immigrants in any way

Im against illegal immigrants being forced down our throuts to keep the dems in power

I do feel however that only citizens should be allowed to vote

Yes legal immigrants pay taxes for which they receive benefits

Let them go the correct route to citizenship and then they can vote

Its a step at a time

First flood the country with undocumented immigrants

then very slowly get them drivers licenses and vote in local elections then comes general amnesty

There's nothing wrong with requiring an ID to vote.  But that's not what voter suppression is.  But you don't want to have that conversation, you want to dwell on IDs.

The world you live in and the actual world are radically different.

Re: minimum wage, I'm much less interested in it than I used to be. People have much more access to information than they used to, so they are more well equipped to avoid getting screwed. Also, I'm strongly against the idea of trying to fix minimum wages onto things like Uber driving.

Thanks for the anecdotal sample size of one.  Totally negates my point.  Darn.
Ok then Mr Smarty. How do you suppress voters ?

Weeks to vote, all day every day.

Please don’t tell me requiring or having a valid ID is voter suppression.
