Yeah, the one in Baltimore didn't seem to have any protective fortifications around that pylon base, unless the ship just crashed through them?

Congress recently passed a bill on that.  The thing is when you divide the monies among 50 states, and thousands of needed projects, you dilute it to nearly nothing.

You get a few sidewalks and maybe some road gets paved.

One approach would be to raise the gasoline tax, which is anchored at 18.5 cents per gallon of gasoline not even adjusted for inflation.

We probably need to request aid from Russia cause we are giving all our money to Ukraine

Biden pulls even with Trump as economic view improves slightly, CNBC survey shows

National polls of course are irrelevant (aside from its being March).  The only ones that matter are those in pivotal BG states, you can't include CA and NY and make any sense of Nat polls.

CNBC claims Brandon and Trump are even.  If CNBC says it then it must be true

A  lot of folks like polls when they have their guy ahead, and disparage those that don't.  My point is this poll really doesn't matter except perhaps for a bit of imagery.  This site has some useful analysis, I think.

Trump is leading the polls, but there's plenty of time for Biden to catch up - ABC News (go.com)

I don't have "a guy" and I don't like any poll that would have Trump OR Biden ahead.

It's just unbelievable to me that the idiots in both of the parties can't come up with someone better.

Foreign investment flows into China shrink 19.9% in Jan-Feb

So a 20% reduction Year Over Year from Jan-Feb 2023, to Jan-Feb 2024.

And this is after an 8% reduction YoY from 2022 to 2023.

Yeah, but inevitable.

  • If Biden was going to seek a second term, he was going to win the nomination. No mainstream alternatives are going to primary a sitting President from their own party. Doing so would be them admitting that the last 4 years have been a failure, and no party does that.
  • Trump sucks the air out of every room, every discussion, every media outlet. Whether it's good or bad, everything, all the time, is about Trump. When Trump skipped the primary debates the story was NEVER about what the people at the debates said, or even who they were, the story was about Trump skipping the debates. Even all the coverage of Trump's legal issues was starving the other candidates of attention. So the other candidates simply suffocated due to lack of oxygen.

There was no way other than this that it would have played out.
