I have a question.......is the amount that this bothers you = how much it affects your daily life?

I think not.
I see what you’re saying, this likely affects very few people’s life at all. Still does not make it right.

If you had a daughter and she was participating in women’s sports competing against other women and then all of a sudden she had to start sharing a locker room and competing against Danny- who one day out of the blue decides he feels like a girl so that means he is one and starts taking hormones, cuts off his dick and changes his name to Danielle- I doubt you’d be so cavalier about it.

Men have many physical advantages over women, and letting them compete in sports competition with them is just flat out stupid and can even be dangerous and harmful to women if it’s any kind of contact sport.

He enhanced it like I would enhance my car if I started trying to "improve" the engine.

I disagree.

Things were working. Many good people were processed in a legal way and were allowed entry. #44 deported more people than #45 did.

Now we have no border at all, and a country without a border is NOT a country. We are losing our country. 11 million people in 3.2 years and counting. Who are these people? We don't know. That's scary to me.

I'm sure most of the people coming across are good and well-intentioned. But we just don't know who all are coming across.

There could be a terror cell in your neighborhood, and you wouldn't know it until it's too late.

To be very clear, I'm not against immigration at all. It just has to be done within the rules already on the books.

Yes, we know.  Cave man talk.  Parroting what you're told.  Got it.
What a silly accusation.  He clearly doesn't like Biden's policies or Biden's actions.  He doesn't need someone else to tell him that "Biden must go" in order to come to that conclusion.

You are certainly free to maintain a different opinion of Biden's policies and actions, and you are free to believe that "Biden must stay" or whatever conclusion you draw from your opinions of those policies and actions.

If you truly believe he's just parroting then you should ask him WHY does he think Biden must go?  Which specific policies and actions are driving that opinion?

That's how you actually have an adult conversation.

Name-calling, denigration, and ad hominem attacks are the actions of children.

So I spent about half the day yesterday helping my son clean and re-season 3 cast iron Dutch ovens from his Boy Scout troop.  I have no idea what those kids did to them (other than fail to clean them out, and then let them sit for a week).  Tons of flaking inside, lots of rust inside and out.  Ooff.

One of them was just cornbread so it cleaned out and seasoned pretty easily, only took a couple of cycles.  But in the other two they made a fruit cobbler, and some kind of tomato-based stew.  The acids in the fruits and vegetables really did a number on the seasoning.  I did 5 cycles on each of those.

All three look almost brand new now, but man what a mess.

Be sure to take good care of your cast iron.

I felt comfortable raising children before I felt comfortable owning cast iron.  :57:

Cast iron doesn't like salty air much. I left mine in the cabinet of my grill, think it would be OK.

It was not OK, and I f'd up the re-seasoning cycle. So I had to start over.

Yeah I had one that stayed out in the Airstream for one winter.  No salty air, but just too many hot-cold cycles with condensation and evaporation from the humid air.  It rusted out petty badly.  That was probably ten years ago and it's the last time, before now, I had to completely recondition any cast iron.

I will say, however, there's something satisfying about taking a wrecked piece of cast iron and making it almost new again.

I set mine up in the oven, on the cleaning cycle. Oops. What a mess. They are no longer with us.

The nice thing is, you can get quality cast iron, for not too much money.  A 12" Lodge skillet is only around $25.

IMHO Lodge is fantastic. I've even gotten my wife convinced that if Lodge has a size of some sort of cast iron pan / dutch oven, that it's worth it to save the money and not buy Le Creuset. I only wish they had more of what I needed.

I.e. the 15.5 quart dutch oven. I got a smoking deal at the Le Creuset outlet (35% off the reduced outlet price), but it was still, uhh, NOT cheap.

This is the next one I'm eyeing: https://www.zwilling.com/us/staub-cast-iron-15.75-inch-double-handle-fry-pan-cherry-1314006/40501-044-0.html

Being enameled on the interior and being so large, it would be really useful...

Anyone know of a Lodge-ish alternative that's not so heavy on the wallet? (Note: I've looked and haven't seen one, so just throwing out a lifeline on a whim...)

Lodge, Staub, Le Creuset.  You've already named the heavy hitters of big iron.

But there are a lot of knockoff brands out there nowadays.  We got our current 8 quart enameled Dutch oven for around $70 about 20 years ago at Marshall's or Tuesday Morning or one of those cheap-deal stores.  It's been fantastic.

I see quite a few knockoffs on Amazon but can't speak to their quality.  Here's something similar to what you're looking for, for a lot less:
