He did take his time - he extended the timeline that Trump agreed on to make it as orderly as it was. I don't think there was any practical way to withdraw from a war that was ongoing in an "orderly" fashion, so a lot of the criticisms of Biden on that I think are hogwash.
Agreed, there was no way it was going to go well, but it was critical to get out of it regardless, so I'm on-board with the actions of both Trump and Biden on this particular subject.

How did Trump secure the border?  Besides not building a wall.
"Remain in Mexico" was one #45's EO's that was immediately deleted. It was working. Allowing Title 42 to expire (while still requiring US citizens be Covid tested upon entry into the US) was a mistake. Ordering contractors to stop building the border wall was a mistake.

Also, #46 openly invited migrants to come.

Just listen to what the border patrol has to say on the subject, and what mayors around the country are saying.

The mayors and #46 (his handlers, I mean) all blame Congress. They are barking up the wrong tree. The amount of taxpayer money is being spend on these migrants could easily pay for thousands more border patrol personnel and immigration judges, but that's not where we are.

The wall would be done right now, by the way, and we would not have this massive problem.

No.

Reducing production, high demand, higher fuel and grain costs are doing that.

With all meats, not just beef.

Fish too, based on high fuel costs alone.

I don't think the wall would do a single thing, and I mean a single thing, to help at all. 45's policy was basically to say that immigration was bad. All immigration. The inflation and lack of people available to work was pretty predictable, though by no means the sole contributing factor. But inflation absolutely is affected by 45's policy on immigration which was and remains a complete joke. Obama was the last president with a policy on immigration that was somewhat effective and actually addressed the issue in a semi-coherent way.

With Trump we get the braindead policy that immigrants are bad. I'm not sure what Biden's policy is, it seems to bounce all over the place.

The knowing surrender of our soverignty as it relates to controlling our nation's border is as reckless of an act as I've ever seen by our federal Govt in my lifetime and that is one tough competition.

It's not even an oversight issue, it's intentional.

It's not racist it's not anti-immigration, it's not Maga nationalism it's none of those things.    Nobody in their right mind should operate a border like this.

#45 never said immigration was bad, he said it needed to be controlled - and it was. He enhanced #44's progress, really.

Immigration is like abortion. It will never be fixed because there would be less issues to bitch about.

Neither side honestly gives a shit. They just want to stay in power.

BTW...

Try to immigrate to New Zealand. Get back to me on how that goes for you.

He enhanced it like I would enhance my car if I started trying to "improve" the engine.

Yes, we know.  Cave man talk.  Parroting what you're told.  Got it.
