If it was true, I don't make anything from it, other than that mistakes were made by various and sundry. But I don't think it's true as the NG operates at the behest of governors, not the President (unless Federalized).  This is yet another claim I don't find to be credible.

Police are not allowed to use firearms (legally) except to protect themselves or others from serious bodily harm.  This is why they don't fire into crowds who are clearly rioting and destroying property.  The Capitol Police were attempting to use barricades and some nonlethal methods (tear gas, pepper spray) to deter the crowds.  This seems to have further enraged and already angry crowd.
yet, the crowd did nothing but take a few selfies
even extremists like the proud boys had no real plan and did really nothing

We all see click bait and usually recognize it ahead of time.  Usually.  I don't click on anything "sensational" in SM.

Definitely. Which is why it caught my interest because it definitely wasn't clickbait.

Global Entry is a scam IMHO.  My wife wanted this, I have not found the regular lines to be excessive of late, but she signed me up, or thought she did.  She waited for an "appointment" for months, literally, and got one this morning.  So, we trapse to the airport and the lady tells us it's ONE appointment, not for both of us.  That was not clear at all.

So, she goes in, has a one minute "appointment" and then chit chats a bit.  I'm outside, and another couple come in saying they drove 4 hours for their "dual" appoinment, learn the same thing we did.  My wife said there is almost nothing to the "interview", they could have slid me in easily in the time allotted.

I was not amused.  She wants to get me an appointment and I said "no thanks".  An hour and a half wasted, not counting all the time spent trying to get this silly appointment.  We'll see in two weeks if she gets through any faster than me enough to make up for the time lost today.

Guvmint.....  and of course in the office were 4-5 "officers" doing nothing.

Just getting an appointment is a drawn out mess.  Everyone who came in made some comment like "Whew, it took me a year to get this appointment.".

The other couple that had the same deal as us was unhappy after driving so long to get there.  Anyway, we'll find out if it saves any time in two weeks.
