Hmmm just counting posters on this message board, I'm curious where our stats end up.

As far as I know MDT is the only poster who currently lives in Texas but isn't from here. lh320, Tulip, UTErin, and I, are all from Texas originally.

And then there's Florida, where badgerfan, HonestBuckeye, and MDot are all transplants.  Am I missing anyone?

So by my count, the state of Florida is "winning" this race 3-1. :)
Ahem.

I can trace some of my people back to 1850 when they got off the boat in Galveston.

AAARRRGGHHH!  Sorry Gigem!  My deepest apologies, and of course you are a native son of the land.

Shiner rarely posts around here anymore but he, too, is a native Texican.

Still leaves us at 3-1, Florida is "winning" the "New Additions" game.

Yeah, I noticed you only listed 'horn posters as native Texans, even the ones who are rarely seen here anymore.

AND this is just one of many reasons why I hate NATO and wish we would just fcking dissolve it already.

French leader/smelly dirty euro trash bitchboy cumstain Emmanuel Macron pops off at the mouth and says he is ruling nothing out, including sending troops on the ground to stop Russia from "winning" the war in Ukraine. Russia immediately responds and says NATO troops would essentially = making a third world war inevitable.

The German Chancellor, German defense minister, White House, and NATO Secretary general all immediately said Macron is tripping and there are no plans to send boots on the ground and that there basically never will be.

Macron says ‘nothing ruled out,’ including using Western troops, to stop Russia winning Ukraine war | CNN

Sounds like just talk, nothing real in it.  "Nothing should be ruled out" is just talk.

Though the possibility of Western democracies putting boots on the ground in Ukraine remains remote, Macron’s comments following a summit in support of Ukraine prompted a hawkish response from the Kremlin and sent European leaders scrambling to backtrack. A NATO official told CNN the alliance had “no plans” to deploy combat troops in Ukraine.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who attended the meeting in Paris on Monday, said that while there was a good debate and detailed discussion on the topic, summit participants were “unanimous” in their opinion against deploying troops

The French can send troops without it being a NATO action.  Only a Russian incursion into NATO space would trigger Article 5.

France and other Euro nations can do whatever they like, as long as they don't involve NATO.

Just listed in my neighborhood:

https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/26769-Avenida-Shonto-Mission-Viejo-CA-92691/25627796_zpid/

I don't know that they'll get $1.65M for it in this neighborhood. The remodel makes it look completely unlike anything else in the entire development, and even with that square footage that's MILES higher than anything here has recently sold for. The only other full reno is a little smaller, and only got $1.24M...

That's a really nice house and a nice reno.  Lots of quality and expensive materials and finishes used.  Only design choice I question is the stair railing, I don't think it matches the overall design aesthetic and it looks comparatively cheap, like, I think it's the exact same one used in my kids' high school.

Closer to the peak, a year ago, that house would have gone for probably $1.2M-$1.3M in my neighborhood.

Yeah, it's not just talk. It's completely irresponsible and downright asinine especially since it's coming from someone who should really just keep his mouth shut and go sit at the kids table while the grown ups talk as he is nothing more than an errand boy bitch of the United States.

US leaders are the only one who should be talking about this at all. Not the smelly euro trash french bitchboy midget that has a thing for grandmas. He ought to keep his god damn mouth shut and not throw even a hint of fumes on an already burning fire.

except he didn't say french troops, he said Western troops, which implies NATO troops.

The French ain't sending shit in the way of troops. They are barely even sending monetary support and weapons to Ukraine as is. This is tantamount to like your scrawny stupid bitch of a cousin talking mad shit and popping off at the mouth because he knows his cousin is the biggest baddest mf on the block. It's a bitch move, really.
