Live Oak's branding isn't quite as clean, but it's fairly distinctive.  And the beer is world-class which is all that really matters to me:

Rock bands seemed to vie for ever more weird names, I guess beer is doing the same.
Absolutely, anything to try to stand out from a very large pack.

What if we held a lottery every four years and winners would be "elected" to the House and Senate (each 6) and Presidency.  You'd need to be a US citizen and you'd need to enter the lottery.  You'd get chosen at random, each time.

yeah, not buying that at all. that has always been a line of horse shit. not when our entire gov't is literally geriatric central. Old Nancy SaggyTits, Chuckie the RatFck, Mitch Stroke-on-the-job, Elizabeth Pocahontas, Sass Queen Misses Lindsey Graham herself, and President Shits-His-Diapers are the ones with any real power running this country and simultaneously ruining this country and the world at large, and have been for oh, only decades. Literally.

The post wars/boomers inherited literally the greatest, most prosperous country on planet earth in recorded history. And proceeded to systematically fck it all up and destroy it within a couple decades. It's downright fcking astonishing and impressive at the staggering levels of ineptitude and corruption.

I personally do not view the USA as being "destroyed" in any real sense.

I personally do not view the USA as being "destroyed" in any real sense.
$34 trillion in national debt and counting, completely broken and corrupt food & drug system, highest obesity rates in the world, highest infant mortality rate in the developed world, highest maternal mortality rate in the developed world, illegal immigrant crisis with immigrants invading a wide open border, highest levels of wealth/income inequality in the developed world and rising- at levels not seen since the 'roaring 20's, 4 decades plus of wage stagnation, people forced to take an experimental medical drug in order to keep their jobs, crumbling out-dated infrastructure, rampant homelessness, crime, & drug abuse in every major city in the country, completely broken health care system, completely broken higher education system, student debt & personal debt crisis constantly looming over an economy like a ticking time bomb, endless forever wars of occupation that have cost trillions of dollars and killed millions of people around the world, rampant inflation at the grocery store and gas pump, unaffordable home prices in any decent place to live, but yeah, things are A Oh fcking K and just mighty swell in this country.

the only people that think this country is just fine and dandy are those with their heads in the sand. This country can be so much better. It should be so much better. It isn't. Hmmm...wonder why that is that? Maybe because our leaders are god awful and the system has been completely and utterly corrupted by mega-corporations and their lobbyists. Unfortunately, money talks and bullsh*t walks in America in all things in life, but most especially when it comes to our politicians.

I'm not into "absolutes" for most things.  The USA is still here, that isn't the same as claiming we have no major issues.

My personal life is much the same as it was last year, the year before, and two decades back.  I'm in better financial shape, personally, than 20 years ago.  I can still choose to do this or do that in relative freedom.  The country still has elections of a sort, the area where I live is relatively safe and crime free, in fact, it's improving quite a bit overall, even since we moved here 6 years ago.

I'm of he opinion that large enterprises of any ilk tend to, well, corruption, because self interest starts to override interest in the operation of whatever it is.  I saw plenty where I worked.  For a while, I thought other large companies would be better.  They aren't.  And I agree generally that out "System" is broken, has been broken, and will be broken, and yet somehow the country muddles along.

I've lived through worse times, and history is replete with worse times for this country.  I'd opine things continue to grind down, overally, the debt is a major concern for me, but the System is not going to change radically until some day when it really does collapse and we can say the USA no longer exists.

Yup I've lived through worse times as well.  The only people clamoring that the sky is falling, are people who have some financial incentive to do so-- like putting eyeballs on their content, clicks into their webspace, listeners for their podcasts.  The usual suspects.

Doesn't mean we shouldn't remain vigilant and try to improve things.

Right now we should be sharply focused on China and its coming economic collapse that will have repercussions around the world.  Fortunately for us the 2020 pandemic already gave us a small preview of what that could look like and the smart money is making moves to mitigate those risks.

Pretty easy to see they are enemy #1, threat #1 to the United States' world hegemony and our way of life and have been for decades. And seems like all any hair-brained idiot politicians in this country want to talk about is Russia. China/CCP linked companies have increased their holdings of farmland outside of China by 1,000% in the last few years alone. Chinese ownership of US farmland has increased more than 20x from $81 million in 2010 to around $2 billion by 2022. To have the CCP owning any of our food supply is a national security risk imo. Much of said farm land they've bought up has been not far from US military bases as well. Red flag alert. Fastest growing sector of illegal immigrants crossing the US border from Mexico? Chinese. China is a major problem.

I'm not worried about the total volume of farmland that China owns within the USA.  If your figures are correct, than that still only represent about 0.05% of all US farmland.  It's not even mice nuts.  And even so, with the bottom dropping out of their real estate market and their top 2 commercial real estate companies failing spectacularly, their ability to support investment in foreign real estate is being cut off at the knees.

The strategic location of that land, and the border crossings, are definitely something I'd put a spotlight on and see if there's anything meaningful going on.

Overall though I'm far less worried about any of THAT, and more worried about what their egotistical autocrat of a dictator is going to do, as his economy fails around him.
