Yes, Ukraine was receiving a modest level of mostly nonlethal aid before Russia invaded.  Obviously that changed, but before this happened Ukraine did a solid job of resisting the Russian invasion in the first few months.

To me, keeping Russia "tied down" in Ukraine is in our national interest until such point that both sides tire of this mess and agree to real negotiations.  The end result will likely involve "land for peace" and western recognition of Crimea as being Russian.

I think our overall global strategic objective should comprise having as many countries "stable" and at least quasi-democratic as possible.

And hey here's an idea, maybe we DON'T use this war to launder well over 100 BILLION in US taxpayer dollars mostly to defense contractors and CROOKED AS F*CK Ukrainian politicians. Just a thought.
If I'm not mistaken that propped up scarecrow Dianne Feinstein in her last bellowings to the House appropriations committee voted for 719 or 819 billion dollars. Not sure in her land of make believe if that was available or went thru, but she went toes up and hope she's get pitchforks from the red host.Soon to be joined by Pelosi,Cheney,Branden,Hunter and a chain of chiselers from both sides of the isle

Ukraine was receiving much more than a modest level of aid before Russia invaded. I believe from 2017-2019 alone they received almost $1.5 billion in "security assistance" aid- and that included "lethal arms". I would hardly call $1.5 billion in free sh*t modest, but hey that's just me.

And while it's true that the aid that was sent to Ukraine from 2014-2016 was "non-lethal", as Obama smartly recognized the situation was a powder keg and resisted pressure from nutjobs within his own party and the pentagon to flood Ukraine with lethal arms- they did receive military assistance and training from the US.

By the way, it was Trump the "Russia puppet" that flooded Ukraine with lethal arms. Kind of funny that a "Russian puppet" would expel so many Russians from US soil, sanction the f**k out of Russian nationals & corporations, and flood Ukraine with lethal arms. Seems like something a Russian puppet wouldn't do. But hey, we only wasted 8 years of our lives having the fake news media push that hair brained conspiracy theory down everyones throats.

so according to special counsel Robert Hur- after a 15 month investigation- Joe Biden is too senile and not mentally fit enough to be charged with and stand trial for mishandling of classified documents. but he's A-OK to remain President of the United States of America. Make it make sense.

We truly do live in a motherfcking clown world.

yeah, no. France was at one point one of the worlds main super powers. They are a major country. Ukraine is literally none of those things. get back to me when any of those countries are basically a dead country that the US is propping up like a zombie. Ukraine would've ceased to exist if the US hadn't been giving going on hundreds of billions to it now going on the last couple of years. we aren't giving any country in EU that- not even close.

Nothing you've said refutes my assertion that France, Poland, and Belgium would have been dead, invaded countries after WII, were it not for US supporting them through finances, firepower, and American lives.

You're subjectively arguing the relative worth of Ukraine versus those other countries, which is fine, but it has nothing to do with my point.

Should have stopped in 1990, with the reunification of Germany. I don't understand why Turkey was added either.

Dickface Putin is just plan evil.

Alexei Navalny, a thorn in Vladimir Putin's side, died. What does it mean for Russia? (msn.com)

Putin has always been evil.  He's a con artist who deep down believes he's justified  in his atrocities.  He creates justifications of moral authority and those delusions are adopted by the Russian culture.

I typically lean right, but when it comes to Russia, I do not align with the idea he's misunderstood.  Russia is still what it was in the cold war.  They should never be trusted.

my tip of the day...........

If someone reports their company for tax evasion in the U.S., he or she will receive 30% of the amount collected.
