yeah, lot of them don't pay income taxes. they use their stock holdings/property portfolios as collateral and borrow at super cheap interest rates from banks that desperately want their business and spend, take out new loans, refinance debt, rinse and repeat til they die.

I'm a bit amazed we don't have faster air travel today.  I know we could at a high cost.  I just paid for upgraded seats on our upcoming flights to Japan and back from Seoul.  Both trips basically take ~24 hours.

I want to try that train we're building from here to India, I heard about it a while back.

My proposal is to set the MW to the highest point it's ever been adjusted for inflation, and then add a COLA.  Done.

Anyone care to guess how much that would be?  It's 1968, as I recall.

(And yes, I do think the concept is flawed anyway, but it's not going away.)
