I'm sure they need various approvals, in addition to "cleaning out" the cars of anything toxic.  The new cars look quite a bit better, but are pricey (duh).

Seems an expensive ride to the reef
also seems there would be significant scrap metal worth

A question of great social impact for y’all.  And one that has come up several times recently in social settings at my home, with visitors:

Is better to put silverware handles up, or handles down, in the dishwasher?

What say you?

I always thought Handles down was the correct way, though I'm not sure why

I do handles down, because it is easier and I do all the dishes. But handles up is probably more sanitary.

Dishwashers are stupid.  You have to clean them 80% of the way just to put the dishes in them.  Just do the final 20% yourself.

Handles down.

My theory is by putting the "dirty" parts (fork tines, spoon bowl, knife blade) up above the level of the top of the basket will maximize water/soap contact with those parts.

Just like I learned in the restaurant business-- that machine is the dish sanitizer.  YOU are the dish washer.

But then you put yer grubby meat hooks on the usable part of the silverware when you unload it.

wash your grubby meat hooks before unloading
your plates, bowls and other usable things need to be unloaded too
