never did any "real" duck hunting in a boat or a blind

just pheasant hunting and often walked up on a stock pond

Gotta be careful to wait until they get over dry land if you don't have a dog trained in retrieving in water

may or may not have had the required duck stamp

He gone. For the record I’m not excited about this. Maybe Fisher checked out after 2020, sure seemed like it. $70 something million dollars, sheesh. And you almost always have to pay the next coach more. And who are you gonna hire?  Honestly I guess I just don’t care much anymore.

I'm pretty shocked too, Gigem.

When counting all of the assistants' salaries (several of which were JUST extended, why????), plus hiring new coach, plus hiring new staff, the total cost to ag big money donors is going to be over $100M.  With probably around $30M-$40M to be executed immediately.

I feel for you, I really do, because Texas has put ourselves in a similar spot over and over and over again.  Not quite as expensive, but same net result-- firing a guy and then, who the heck do you hire that's any better?

If Billy Liucci is reporting it, then it's a done deal.  His "sources" are the AD and the university president.

And I'll add, if the TAMU athletics department is letting Liucci break the story, then there's a calculated reason for it.  It's part of their plan, likely related to how they want to approach their potential hires.

Yeah, this probably is true, it can be, I just prefer to wait on the official word.

And of course the buy out is enormous and it's not clear who they can get there who will be better, unless they can attract the Iowa OC.

It's definitely true.  Texags isn't like other school-oriented websites/subscriber services.  Texas A&M basically uses it as an extension of their SID.  They let Liucci break the "dirty" news that they don't really want to release through official channels, at least not until it's been adequately socialized.  It's quite a clever setup, really.

Liucci is a true insider who gets his marching orders directly from the university's athletic director and university president.

My wife dropped it last night that she'd like another Hermes scarf for Christmas, so I just priced a few.

It's either that or a good ticket to the SEC CG ...
