I'm all for as much DST as possible, but it seems like the switch back to standard time would be a little less depressing if it happened the weekend before Halloween instead of the weekend after, when the notion of eternal darkness is a little more fitting to the ambiance.

No time-switching in AZ (except for the Navajo Rez)!

You forgot tats, TV payments, the latest I phone, debt travel, purple hair, etc.
Bro, you should be happy about this.  Why?

Because you and I figure that if your money is limited, you should spend it on your needs, right?  And that makes perfect sense if you make enough money to pay for your needs.
But when you don't make enough money for your needs, that idea no longer applies to a poor person.
.
So to keep themselves sane, they say "fuck it" and spend money on their wants.  We should all be VERY thankful for this, because for most, it provides enough of a distraction or checks enough boxes to NOT go out into the world and burn it all down.

If they didn't have a phone or purple hair or a big TV, AND failed to pay for all of their needs with all the money they have in the first place, our world would be very different.
I know you'll all dismiss this as another wacky idea from OAM, but please believe me.  It is true.

I can't much condone spending money on trivialities when kids are involved and going wanting.  Maybe it makes the adults happier, I guess.

I don't think "they" fail to "burn it all down" because they can get tatooed.

A few of the towns along the Utah border go by Utah time, albeit unofficially. Maybe it's the same way along some of the other borders as well.

Being stuck on standard time all year round must be one of the seven layers of Hell.  I'd a lot rather be gifted permanent DST.

Are they those fundamentalist LDS towns?  Colorado City n such?
I always wanted to visit to gauge the creepiness factor of that place.

I love not having to change times twice a year.  It's antiquated and dumb now.  One less thing to worry about.

Any way USC has dismissed defensive coordinator Alex Grinch. He'd pair up well with Brian Ferentz for a 1-2 punch in O & D coordinators

Colorado City is definitely on Utah time.

It's nowhere near anything in Arizona except Fredonia, which is also unofficially on Utah time.

I've ridden an electric scooter through every nook and cranny in Colorado City. It's a pretty surreal place. They have an old abandoned zoo in the middle of town, that still has monkey cages. There's also a giant wavy slide that goes down the side of a hill. Lots of really unusual buildings all over town, mostly housing designed for dozens of occupants. Lots of unusual characters all over town as well, mostly the occupants of the peculiar housing.
