I'd be okay with a license to vote, as long as it was only granted when you pass an intelligence test.

An intelligence test designed and administered by ME, obviously.

I've seen one or two of the presidential candidates say they're in favor of citizens passing the same civics test immigrants are required to pass to become citizens in order to be eligible to vote.

Out of curiosity, I took a few citizenship tests online, surprisingly I did very well even though I don't remember much from high school Civics class.

I don't know if I could pass your test, though.

I love the State Fair so there'd be some questions about corny dogs, you'd do just fine.

My wife took said citizenship test.  She had been worried about it, we reviewed the various questions they might ask, some of which are fairly specific and detailed.  They didn't ask her anything "tough", she said it seemed more about how well she spoke the language, and it was over quickly.

One question as I recall was to name the three major parts of our government.

Fortunately, as an LSU fan, I am an expert on corndogs.

May be an image of text that says 'A 6-foot (later 9-foot) navigational channel between Sioux City and St. Louis opened 19 April 1964.'

I'm actually permitted to marry people.

Only one has ever asked and I politely declined because I thought the girl was a scary bitch. Of course, I didn't put it that way...

I was right. They lasted 11 months.
A friend up in the Lake Erie Islands got his Pilot/Captain's License and he does tours/charters and evidently that is one of the perks. You can marry people on the Vessel.
