Yeah I do this but also add in all kinds of other fall vegetables and root vegetables.  Carrots, parsnips, butternut squash.  You can halve Brussels sprouts and throw them in, too.

Sweets are only good in certain ways. On their own I cannot eat them. Too sweet.

I'll post a recipe in the proper thread, that I adapted from a Bobby Flay version.

I don’t know why, I really never liked sweet potatoes. Granted I don’t totally like potatoes that much, and sweet potatoes always tasted like a diet dessert to me.

My wife does as well, I find them usually soggy.  I try and get a side other than fries anyway if possible.  The Korean place has mac and cheese with kimchi and bacon which is killer good.

Sweet potato pie is delicious, a Fall staple of course.

At Thanksgiving we always have the following: sweet potato pie, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, apple pie.
