I had the 16 hours of training for the CCL.  We spent a fair bit of time on the law, questions and answers, some of it was murky.  The law is murky in Ohio in spots.

There was time spent on gun safety which most of us knew OK, some on history (not much), and some practical.

There was another 30 hour course offered that I signed up for but never took.

Exactly correct.

All of my training talked about the law and the when-to-use thing and how it BETTER be absolutely necessary.

I'm guessing those are nice inside, too, and would remain when purchased.

Mar-a-Lago is likely very dated and probably tacky as shit and would be gutted or demolished by someone spending that much money.  That knocks down the value considerably if that's the general consensus of the property.  
That ignores the fact that it's Trump's, and may be kept intact due to his being a past president, etc.

It is. But your point is well taken.  It is difficult to stay calm in situations where life threatening things are potentially happening. 

I have been robbed at gunpoint once and by knife once.  

I never owned a weapon until I started watching the BLM riots on TV and saw so many white people or otherwise innocent people, being beaten, and some fire.  

Although I live in Florida and could easily, Carrie, I choose not to.

Tough question. She is not scheduled to fly back until the 17th. But her girlfriend, person she’s traveling with, lives in Tel Aviv, and that’s where they would need to get to. Hard to tell right now if travel, there is safe, especially having to drive by bus or taxi through the southern part of Israel, where it’s wide-open spaces and not very well policed by the Israeli army, or the is Isreali police.

Very accurate.  I can honestly tell you that in both cases where I was robbed by a person with a weapon I surprise myself by how calm I remained. 
I am confident in saying that in either case, had I’ve been carrying a concealed weapon, I will have chosen not to use it. I think it’s because I got the definite feeling the person robbing me wanted money and jewelry more than they wanted to hurt me.  Who knows though.

They're the desperate person in the exchange.  They're in a bad situation and taking a huge risk.  They're on edge, so me acting similarly would only make things worse.
