Because some people out there are going to lump school boards in with teachers and principals and such, when we're separate entities.  They're not paid.  They're from the same pool of people who show up each month to bitch at them.

school boards have overall decision power over what is taught and how you teach it

matters not if they get compensation

these folks can have agendas just like any other elected officials can have

Remember:  school board members are separate from the schools themselves and are elected members of the community.  Just normal people who seek it out.
The equivalent of HOA tyrants then?

This has nothing to do with what I said.

I do believe we call this "federalism"...

...because I'm quite sure you're not advocating for centralized control of education in Washington DC.

The school board is elected by the community. If they're not teaching what the community wants, shouldn't they vote them out? Or should we allow tyranny of the minority where every crank in the community can veto what the REST of the community wants to be taught?

I think that would be held unconstitutional as this is reserved for the states

So in a discussion about school boards, you bring up BLM?  Then list 6 states that pay their school board members, leading us to understand 44 don't?

Are you frothing at the mouth?
