Of course the average per beer drinker is higher.  I just wondered how much this would cut beer consumption if everyone adhered to the new guidelines.  It's huge.  And irrelevant I think.

my point is that because actual beer drinkers are less then the amount of average consumption would be higher and thus the amount of reducing actual beer drinkers to 2 a week would be even greater

Gotcha.  Yes, if beer drinkers went from ~4 six packs a week to 0.3 it would matter a lot.  But of course they won't.  I don't think the Beer Lobby needs to enlist aid from the Egg Lobby over this.

Just another pie in the sky item on a wish list

Oil prices briefly went negative when COVID first hit.

Demand had gone to near zero and a lot of tankers were en route, and not wanted.  Storage was full.  

The price started falling pretty early in the COVID scare before it was known what would happen.  Weird times, I'm glad to be now.

I think he picked beer just before football season to target a certain group of folks
