Overall U.S. beer consumption per adult age 21 and over is around 28.2 gallons per person, per year. Breaking these numbers down further, the average adult over the age of 21 is consuming about 10 ounces of per day, or roughly one six pack per week.

This is just beer of course, not including wine/liquor.  So, if folks drank as recommended, it would cut the beer business by more than half, 3x.

Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2020-2025 and Online Materials | Dietary Guidelines for Americans

I suppose all these "guidelines" might do some good, somebody somewhere is probably spending money reviewing them.  But I'd guess those who should listen to these are also those who completely ignore them.
well we dont have to worry bout those guideline cause Brandon's guy is revising all that

I predict any revised guidelines will have zero impact on beer consumption.

Same.

The government has guidelines for almost everything, including fentanyl.

I'm not gonna quit drinking but should cut back.

Being self-employed since 2001 and paying the employer contribution for every employee, I'll never see what I've paid in.

It's impossible.

The logic here is flawed

Not every person over 21 drinks beer so the average per beer drinker is much higher
