Stranger Things on Netflix is outstanding.

Drive to Survive is interesting but as a longtime F1 fan, it's definitely a shallow and formulaic take on the sport.  Still, it's well-produced and it's about Formula1 auto racing, which I love.

I can't say I've really watched anything else on Netflix so can't comment further.

We watched Full Swing, which was basically the PGA version of Drive to Survive. It was interesting largely because of the stuff at the time going on with the LIV tour. But beyond that, seeing the realities of PGAT life and what it's like beyond the tournaments was IMHO a good production. However, for non-golfers or non-fans of pro golf, I'm guessing it wouldn't be interesting.

We also watched Quarterback, which was I think more of a puff piece, but decent enough that we didn't quit it--although it was only ~8 episodes.

We no longer pay for anything. Our HOA now provides fiber and streaming sticks.

Of course, the HOA went up $100/month, but that seems well worth it for fiber and 250 free channels (including ACC, BTN, SEC and LHN - no Pac).

We used to pay $55/month separately just for internet, and $90/month for Hulu.

Now I guess I'm gonna have to buy Peacock. Oh well.

Paramount+ is free with the 247 sports membership, so I guess I'll keep that for $100/year.

absolute horseshit the B1G let Comcast/NBC strong arm them into putting football games on Peacock. They should've told them to shove it where the sun don't shine.

I believe only one Michigan game is on peacock this year, so I'll try to get a free trial and cancel it right after the game or at worst just sign up for one month then immediately cancel the day after the Michigan game.

F them bastards.

honestly this cord cutting sucks. it was GREAT at first when there was just a few options and it was cheaper than cable. now there are 279 different streaming services and new ones coming out all the gd time and you wind up paying more than you did when you had cable with HBO and the sports packages if you get all the different streaming services.

The Dawgs were on TV I could access last year except one game, I walked over to a sports bar to see it, spent about $20.  Thhe OSU-UM game was on as well, so I got to watch that some too.  It was decent.  The bar chick was pretty, not that I would notice.

That's why they're paying the big bucks, so they can dump your games onto Peacock and attempt to force subscriptions.  I regularly see B1G fans crowing about the huge media contracts, but this is what comes along with it.  It's no different than the addition of Maryland and Rutgers-- you took the money, so you have to take all the downside, too.

unfortunately you're right. but I do wonder how hard the negotiators for the B1G even tried to fight that. would Comcast/NBC really blow up the deal and pass on securing the only content people watch on live tv anymore? don't know but it would've been interesting to see/know. my guess is B1G just said yeah ok cool whatever, no problem.

Does B1G Leadership care about the fans, or the money?  You have the answer to your question, right there.

true. if they can get 1 million B1G football fans to force subscribe to Peacock that's $72 million a year in new added revenue for their bs streaming platform. And it's $5.99/mo, so my guess is 99% of the new subscribers who sign up just forget or say meh it's $6 a month- less than a McDonald's meal now- and never cancel that ish.

I have to sign up for one game (so far) and that game is Rutgers/homecoming.

Probably gonna have to keep it from then until hoops is over. Oh well.
