This is one helluva thing......believers citing the indoctrination of secular ideas.  I've seen it all now.

One thing you can say about all of those evils in your image there, only the church starts them so young.  How noble.

You must have missed drag queen story hour.

I'll believe in the very first god that provides evidence it exists.

LOL.  Read through your response.  Never heard any of that before...
I've been through all of this so many times, with so many interchangeable secular Whateverists.  Some of them quite bright and credentialed -- others, not so much.
I'm not really inclined to do so again.
What I've found is that unless someone is earnestly searching for, seeking after, answers and truth --
then there's no point in engaging.
The vast majority are not.  They accept, and are comfortable with, their secular indoctrination.  it requires no effort on their part.  And it benefits them financially and socially.  Why rock the boat?

If someone is satisfied with the idea that the universe just sorta happened, we know not how; that dirt organized itself into the precise alignment of the amino acids to form the precise alignment of proteins to fashion a precision information code for the formation of life, by random and accidental and mindless processes, before there was a living cell to form the code;

and then once formed, that first living cell proceeded to turn into every living thing on one randomly ideal privileged planet -- including the cellular biologist who decided that's how it musta happened -- by processes that haven't been identified;

in a cosmos that is void of Intelligence or Design:

go for, it guv.  Have at it.  Cheers.

Now.  I'm going to tell you something that I'm afraid you're not going to like.

There is probably nothing you know -- or think you do -- on this topic that I don't know already.  And have long since rejected as being insufficient and fallacious.

Ergo:  you have no information to provide to me.

I have mountains of information to provide to you.

You're not interested in it.

And there's an end to it.

If you really want to carry this, er... discussion forward though, I suggest it take place on Area 51.  This is a sports page we're on now (with, I see, a lot of latitude).  But I'm a great believer in quarantining topics such as we've embarked on away from the purity and beauty of sports.  That's what '51 is for.

I take it you weren't interested in the Lewis material.  Not surprising.

You won't be interested in this, either, but I'll offer it anyway.  It's an open, non-anonymous debate with a professed atheist that took place on the fb page of my (formerly) local paper.  And was published on the website of a prominent neuro-surgeon, which is frequented by some pretty highly credentialed intellectual heavy hitters.

Why not glance over it, and see if there's anything we could talk about that is not touched on here?  Or if it provokes any dialogue you want to carry over to '51?

Vaya con Dios.

you're really fond of that fantasy phrase (secular indoctrination)

You could discover that all scientific models of how things came to be this way are false.  You could disprove evolution, reveal the big bang as an elaborate hoax, etc..........but that wouldn't mean god did it.

The time to believe in a god (any god) is when the available evidence supports it.  Not simply because you choose not to believe the scientific model based on the best available evidence.

Your entire reason for believing seems to be simple incredulity.  It'd be fascinating if it wasn't so common.

"science has nothing to do with truth" is an interesting comment.

"We" seem to rely on science a lot.

Don't you have to go to the liquor store to buy beer in Chicago?

I remember trying three different gas stations there, none had beer.
You have to have a liquor license to sell alcohol and those are REALLY expensive in Chicago. And the cost is not just the license. There's a bag of cash for the alderman involved.

Almost all grocery stores sell the full gamut up there.

And imagine if this was your house? Could you still live in it? I'm not sure I could I'd want to, always knowing that everything around me got destroyed.

Oh man...

would expect nothing less from the guy considering

a) he's old AF, clearly senile, and not all there mentally

b) he's a corrupt politician and garbage human being and massive piece of shit- always has been, always will be

c) he's way too wrapped up and concerned with literally one of the most corrupt foreign governments on earth- an authoritarian shithole 3rd world eastern european country and his sugarbabby boyfriend Zelensky to actually- you know- put the country he was elected to lead first and you know- actually give a flying fk about his own country and the people in it....

Between inventory shortages and high mortgage rates, things are obviously going to slow down.

Even the builders are giving some pause these days.

Construction is still going like crazy around me, mostly apartment high rises, but some office buildings (which I don't understand).  The only new single family homes are where they bought up an old one for the lot and demo'd.

We drive 37 miles north for my lessons every two weeks and it's solid suburbia out there, craziness and traffic.
