Yes.  Of course it does.  If you choose not to drink Bud Light because a black person is promoting it, you're a bigot.  If you choose not to drink Bud Light because a trans person is promoting it,  you're a bigot.

I don't believe that I ever buy or use a product based upon who is promoting it. It is more likely that I will shy away from a product due to some idiot telling me that I should us it.

When I drank beer, I preferred Labatt Blue. Not because anyone endorsed it or any other bear, but because of the beers that I tried, I liked it the best.

Why do some of you keep bringing in things that have nothing to do with the instance we're discussing?  This is a red herring logical fallacy and is irrelevant to the point qt hand-- that a bunch of people started boycotting a product because they don't like transgendered people.

I think the conversation goes past that. I also think that the posters here don't really care about the Bud Light deal. Rather, the underlying theme of these "movements" or whatever.

Kinda like the schoolbook thing, etc.

The fact that you think Bud Light simply sending pics to a transgendered person and allowing that person to post on the internet is "celebrating" them is the crux of the problem and it's entirely on you.

If they are not celebrating it, what other purpose does it serve?

Well I certainly agree with you on this.  People should drink what they like.  Even if it's Budweiser. I'd be a beer bigot if I thought less of Fearless for drinking his macroswill.  I think less of him for many other reasons, but not his choice in beer.

I'll still have a bud light as often as I ever did.  if the Bud heavy runs out and there aren't better options

I still drink Bud heavy, some think all products from that parent company should be boycotted.
I don't care.

It doesn't bother me a tall about a marketing issue with transgender folks.

I do feel that men shouldn't be allowed to compete in women's sports or use women's restrooms.
some folks may give up bud light for those reasons

I have no problem with transgenders and have bought a few of them a beer or two.
I can respect the way they feel about themselves.
I believe in tolerance for others as long as their actions don't infringe on the rights of others.

Are trans folks mentally ill????
Hell, I don't know.  very possibly

but, I have tolerance for folks with all types of mental illness.

But that's exactly the point.  They're using this Bud Light deal to champion all of their other issues.

I'm talking about Bud Light sending some cans to a transgender person, and that person posting it to social media, and then a boycott that occurred simply because a transgender person was allowed to promote Bud Light.  If you stop drinking Bud Light because you don't like transgendered people, you're a bigot.  It's just that simple.  It's no different than refusing to drink it if an African-American is promoting it, or an Irishman, or a female.

I've already stated and agreed that Bud Light should have known better, but really all that's admitting is that Bud Light should have understood the deep-seated bigotry and hatred within its core market base.  And well, that's a pretty damning indictment all the way around, isn't it?

And all I was saying is that if Bud Lite wants to use the mentally ill to promote their product, they should not be surprised when people choose not to buy their product.

But the real issue is that the Bud Lite promotion was just the straw that broke the camels back. This is a retaliation against the entire woke agenda that is being pushed by Hollywood, the Main Stream Media, schools and politicians. People are fed up with it and are looking to make a statement that they are tired of this crap being pushed on them. Bud Lite was just the hill that those opposed to the woke agenda decided to take a stand.

I guess that having topless women on the lawn of the White House is nothing but bogeymen.
