They won't let me give blood anymore. The burnt orange color scares the hell out of the doctors.

John Mueller (RIP) used to hand cans of ice cold Lone Star out for free if you were waiting in line at his BBQ restaurant.  It would be rude not to accept and drink it.  Especially when a guy with a Lone Star in one hand and a brisket carving knife in the other, who is alternatively known as "Captain Stabby," is the one handing you the beer.

Are those carving knives stabby? Or is that the joke?

The joke is that he might stab you if you bother him.  His personality was always somewhat... prickly... one might say.  So some of the old hornfans.com/shaggybevo/surlyhorns posters who knew him or at least interacted with him regularly, nicknamed him Captain Stabby.

As far as I know he never actually stabbed anyone.  And also, I might have been exaggerating a bit when I suggested he'd actually come out to pass out beers whilst still holding his carving knife.

But he was still an ornery son of a gun.  Free beer, though.

I definitely like the vibe. It was only top of mine because I got Texas style barbecue last weekend, and all the knives had rounded edges.

@eltigrerex ? Never heard of the guy.

Although I had a dream that I once shared some Live Oak beer with him.
I was in that dream too.

16 years?

Who is this @eltigrerex who liked your post but has apparently never actually posted?
That's Tiger King from a past life/board.

It's good to be home. Happy the fridge contains no Bud Light.

To be fair, there is no beer in the fridge.

I slice brisket with a roast slicer like this:

Rounded tip but I keep the blade very, very sharp.

This is precisely how, and WHY, targeted advertising works.

You said it yourself earlier, somehow THIS one slipped through and made an impression.  Most of them never did.

Why? Why did this one create the Perfect Storm?  Couldn't tell you.  I'm not in touch with douchebag bigotry.
Can you define "douchebag bigotry"?

I ask this because your choice of words seems to indicate that you believe that if a segment of people object to the far left wing, anti-family, LGTBQX@!#% lifestyle and the notion that we should all celebrate it that they are some how a bunch of douchebag bigots.

From my standpoint, and from what I can tell, all of my friends and people with whom I associate, I could care less what a person does in the privacy of their own home or if they want to be seen in public dressing and portraying themselves of the opposite gender.

But when our elected officials and companies begin to tell me that I have to celebrate how someone has sex or agree to play along with their mental illness by using pronouns that indicate a lie, that is where I, and my like minded people, draw the line.

Now you may call people such as me douchebags, bigots or anything you like. However, I am not the one living in a fantasy world, trying to upend the natural world by getting people to believe that this mental illness being pushed down our throats'.

And Anheuser Busch is not the only company that will see their profits drop. People are beginning to wake up and push back against this lunacy and are rejecting much of this push to insanity. The reason that Disney is suffering is not because their prices are high, they've always been high. They're suffering because people are getting tired of their woke BS injected into what should be a safe haven for family friendly entertainment and are refusing to spend their money on such nonsense.
