So if the social message of the ad causes customers to no longer purchase a food/drink item, they were drinking it because........????
It wasn't the taste.  No one would be pro-taste. 
Had Bud Light previously proclaimed to be conservative/traditional/etc in previous ad campaigns?  Or does cheap beer simply live under that umbrella at all times?

I'm always befuddled when this kind of backlash happens with a food/drink.  For me, it's simply "does it taste good?"

I must not know all the details though, because this whole thing seems really odd.  Are these the facts?

1) Bud Light sends some specially printed cans to a transgender person who is popular (I guess?) on social media
2) This person posts pictures to social media with the cans, saying "thank you" to Bud
3) This person is not in any other way associated with Budweiser AB/Inbev-- this person has not been announced as a spokesperson, or any other type of official affiliation with Budweiser.  They just got some special cans and posted pics
4) Random conservative and/or anti-trans Bud drinkers took offense that Budweiser would send this person a handful of specially printed cans
5) Boycott and chaos ensue

Is that about right?  If so, I just don't get it.

that one might be because the price to go to their parks is like insane now. and to stay on property at one of their hotels? ludicrous. shit has no reason being as expensive as it is if you ask me. Disney+ subscribers have stalled and gone negative as well losing nearly 12 million worldwide. A lot of their new big budget Marvel movies have tanked as well....that was predictable however once they lost RDJ imo. dude was the whole franchise.
